Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
This fish was ok. I added Old Bay and some Tony's and it was still a little bland for me. Maybe is I had the celery salt it would be better. My husband liked it though. We both LOVED the Ranchy Tilapia recipe here on Allrecipes though.

Simple Ranchy Breaded Fish Fillets

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2012
OMG! I loved this fish! So did my family. It has a taste sorta like fish sticks. VERY kid friendly and good if you want something that tastes like its bad for you. I added the ranch to whole wheat bread crumbs with a lil Tony's, spread some mayo on the fish and dipped in the bread crumbs and cooked on a cookie sheet greased with butter. I am sure the origianal way will be just as good. Will make again often.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
I have made this many times over the years and its good no matter if you use a skillet, bake in the oven or in a crockpot. All works well. I it make as is or add onions, bell pepper strips and extra mushrooms (my favorite). Good with rice or mashed potatoes (not a fan of this with noodles but use egg noodles when I do). Fast and fabulous.

Broccoli Crawfish Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
This soup is really good and easy to make. I used way more onion and garlic though. Mine would not thicken though even with the cornstarch???????????

Short Cut Mexican Fideo (Vermicelli)

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
This recipe is the closest to authentic as I have seen. Most people use water and tomato sauce here in Texas. The tomato boullion cubes are good too. Salt and pepper are a must with the tomato sauce though.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
This bread is pretty good. Its a little salty but I kinda like that I think. Maybe because the butter I used was salted instead of sweet? I only had 1 1/2 cups bananas so I put 1/2 cup applesauce. Anyway I like it as far as banana bread goes. I would use this recipe again but with more banana and sweet butter.

Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
These are great! Easy and delicious. I get asked for these all the time. I forgot to pour the Eagle milk at the right moment one time and just poured it on at the end (before baking) and we liked it better that way so that's how I do it now.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
OMG fabulous! This is sooo good I could lick the pot! LOL I made this almost exactly like the recipe. Here are my changes. I did not have red wine vinegar so I used white. I sautéed my veggies in the grease of 2 pieces of bacon then added the potatoes and all clam juice plus 1 8oz bottle, 2 cups half and half and 2 cups 1% milk. Used 2 cans baby clams and 1 minced clams. This was the best ever!

Crunchy Oven Fried Tilapia

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2009
I really liked this a lot but my husband not so much. I give it a 4 anyway. It satisfied my craving for fish sticks and was much healthier. I use half panko for the crumbs and it was super crunchy.

Actually Delicious Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2009
These were great. We did them on the grill and they taste like regular hamburgers. Nice texture when cooked (I halfed the recipe and they were very hard to handle when raw). I am going to try as meatloaf next time. Thanks for a great recipe. We ate them with sweet potato fries and pepper jack cheese on wheat buns.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2009
This is the recipe I have been using for years. I do season the meat first and coat the roast with flour before browning and I used red wine instead of water.I usually do mine in the oven as I think it tastes better or I cook it 3-4 hours on high in the crockpot.

Czech Stuffed Green Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2009
I liked this recipe because it did not have cheese. The flavor was good even though I did not have any marjoram or the sour cream for the sauce (I also just used ground spices).

Lamb and Winter Vegetable Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
I LOVED this stew but my husband thought it was "OK" so I took off one star. I used beef since my grocery store had no lamb except an entire $40 leg. I doubles the recipe since you can't really get 1 cup of parsnips and 1 sweet potato is about double and same with a small butternut squash. Thought this was great and fairly healthy too. Will make again.

Toscana Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2008
Fabulous. I have done chunks and slices both good (I like sliced potatoes best). Once I did not have italian sausage so I used some of the ham ends and pieces that I buy for beans and it was just as good. I have used turkey italian sausage and it also is just as good. I use milk when I don't have cream. I sometimes throw on some parmesan cheese. It is hard to mess up this soup and it is very satisfing and comforting. Thanks for the recipe.
