Low Carb Jambalaya

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2014
I used a can of Muir Glen Organic Fire Roasted Tomatoes and organic better than boullion chicken flavor. I'm really just putting this in here so I can remember because I think those two things make a difference in flavor. Greg LOVED it!

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2014
1 cup flour, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1/3 cup melted coconut oil, 1 egg and 1/3 of the salt and soda make for perfect 12 cupcakes.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2013
AMAZING!! However, I would use bottled clam juice instead of water.

Chinese Pork Dumplings

Delicious! I used ground beef instead. I would recommend boiling and then pan frying for the best flavor. Yum!

Easy Beer Bread Mix

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2012
This was delicious! I didn't have self-rising flour so I followed the advice of other reviewers and used 3 cups regular flour to 2 tsp of baking powder without adding additional baking powder. I did not use the italian seasoning as I knew my hubby would not like it and I did use 1/3 cup brown sugar instead of 1/4. This was amazing!!!

Japanese Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2012
These were very good. I tossed them in flour, salt, pepper and onion powder. I then sprayed with pam and baked at 350 for 45 minutes, turning once. I added the sauce and baked for an additional 20 minutes. I served with rice and broccoli. Very yummy for a cheap meal. I also only used a 1/2 cup of sugar.

Aussie Chicken

4 stars only because hubby doesn't love chicken breasts. I did not use corn syrup and I subbed dijon.

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Great cake recipe! I used four whole eggs instead of 8 egg yolks. However, if I was making angel food cake, I would save the yolks and make this cake to freeze. Yum!

Creamy Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2012
Yum. I probably could have substituted regular milk or cream for the evaporated milk. Just because now I have an entire can of open evaporated milk.

Cream Cheese Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
Oh my gosh!!! So good! I followed other reviewers advice and added a 1/2 tsp of vanilla to the whip cream. The only other things I did differently was to use a graham cracker crust, blackberries and lime juice. I only used the blackberries and lime juice because that is what I had but it was delicious! I can't wait to try blueberries!

These were not good. I prefer Dinah's stuffed mushrooms but with crab.

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins I

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2012
These were kind of dry but I think it's just because I overcooked them. I accidentally put the 1/3 cup lemon juice in the muffins before I baked them so I added another 1/3 cup with the sugar again as the topping. It was delicious and I would recommend doing that. I also topped with Raw sugar before I baked to get that extra crunch. I think I can make them 5 star next time.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2012
This was incredibly moist! I used room temp butter and I didn't slice the bananas but threw them into the bowl whole which is what I always do. I also lined the pans with cooking spray and cinnamon sugar which is amazing! And of course, I added chopped pecans!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
I'm actually shocked that this turned out! I don't have a bread machine so I did it the traditional way and I used whole milk because that's what I had. I think the key is to leave the dough slightly sticky and let them rise, rise, rise both times! I only baked for about 18 minutes. I basted with melted butter before the second rise and as soon as they came out of the oven. Yum!

Did not rise up to an appropriate height for buns. I bake bread often so I am not sure why.

Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
Well I didn't use the biscuit recipe because I am feeling lazy so I used pilsbury grands but followed the gravy recipe exactly and my hubby loved it! Can't ask for more than that.

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

I made this into a bar recipe because I don't have a springform pan. It was amazing. I used a different crust recipe but still this was great!

Beef Bulgogi

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
We loved this recipe! I used petite sirloin steaks sliced very thin because that is what I had on hand. I sliced the meat before I marinated it. Also, I did not have green onions so I used about 3 tbl of dehydrated onions. Served with white rice and a quick vegetable stir fry: broccoli, onions and red peppers with a little veggie oil, a little sesame oil and a little soy sauce. Yum!
