About this Cook
Im just an average 25 yr old from Michigan. I have loved to bake my whole life so it made sense for me to go to school for baking. I have some professional certificates in cooking as well. Major: Culinary Arts. Baking & pastry; Introduction to Hospitality Management, Advanced Culinary Techniques.
My favorite things to cook
I just love cooking in general. I love cooking Italian and Mexican dishes mostly but my absolute favorite thing to do in the kitchen is make any deserts. I love baking. And I do believe everyone else loves my baking too. Around the holidays I usually make 10+ different varieties of cookies and then I make candies, cakes and Jello salads, pudding recipes, pies etc also.
My cooking tragedies
Ive made a few recipes that sounded great but turned out horribly. I tend to over cook chicken and I break the egg yolks constantly. I havent had too many other mishaps in the kitchen that I can recall. Well aside from that time I set the stove on fire making candles...

Gooey Butter Cake III
I LOVE THIS! I couldn't find my family recipe for this so I tried this recipe. It's still very good but when I finally found my recipe I realized it only calls for 3 cups of confectioners’ sugar. I also like it better with 1 (20 ounce) can drained crushed pineapple mixed into the cream cheese and sugar mixture. Delicious!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole
This recipe was great. I made it for Thanksgiving instead of traditional green bean casserole and was told if I didnt make it again for Christmas my brother and his roommate wouldnt attend dinner here. As other members mentioned doing I also sauteed the onions in the butter until tender then added the flour. I only had 1 and 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar so I used that but doubled the cracker/butter topping and it was completely delicious.

Spicy Bean Salsa
I love this salsa. I usually serve it as an appetizer when making tacos and taco salad for dinners and I must say by the time I serve dinner no one eats much after filling up on this salsa. Ive never had 1 complaint from anyone who has ever tried this, in fact It always gets rave reviews and many recipe requests! I dont change the recipe at all.
