Wonderful Short Ribs

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2011
Great recipe. Lives up to it's name. I left out lemon juice & crushed red pepper flakes b/c I didn't have them. Subbed Italian seasoning for dried parsley & thyme b/c I don't like dried thyme. I also followed another reviewer's suggestion of browning the meat first, then caramelize the onion in juices before adding sauce ingredients. Cooked in my crock pot on low for 8 hours. Served with garlic smashed potatoes & steamed sugar snap peas.

Morton® Chocolate Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2006
Yummy! Easy to make, my two daughters loved it! I didn't have half & half, so I used 1 cup of heavy whipping cream with 1 cup of whole milk.

Fruited Ice Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2006
Fantastic! And you have so many options! I first made peach ice cream and tonight I making blueberry. I put all of the ingredients in my food processor, pulse a couple of times & pour straight into my ice cream maker. It's so easy that my 8 yr. old can do this with supervision. Thanks!

Curried Hummus

Reviewed: May 3, 2006
I made this for my daughter who likes everything. She didn't like it, that's why I'm giving it three stars. I cut in half, left out the hotsauce, and it still has plenty of kick. I like it all right, I put it on my pita sandwich at lunch, along with lettuce, Craisins, & feta cheese. I will probably keep looking for a recipe that both my daughter and I can enjoy.

Rubbed and Grilled Pork Loin

Reviewed: May 2, 2006
WOW! This recipe was fantastic! The *only* thing I subbed in this recipe was celery salt for garlic salt, b/c that's what I had. My picky, picky husband loved it-he usually has to eat any meat with ketchup (yuck), and he said that this didn't need any. I almost gave it four stars, just b/c I am new to indirect grilling on a gas grill, but the instructions are clear as to what to do. Five ++++ stars for taste alone, this will now become a staple in my recipe collection.

Potato Leek Soup III

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2005
We absolutely loved this recipe. Especially my husband, who in the past, was disappointed with other potato soup recipes that I had made. I'm giving it four stars because I still feel like I need to add something else to it, I'll have to play with it a little.

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
We had high hopes for this recipe after reading all the great reviews. We followed the recipe to a T, and they were burnt and bland. We made one batch plain, and added some honey to another batch. Both burned. We'll keep looking. Sorry.

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
I love this, my whole family loves this, and I have 2 fussy eaters! I usually add some fresh minced garlic instead of onion powder, and add Italian seasoning in place of dried basil. I serve this for company and I pair it with the Grilled Asparagus with Orange Wasabi Dressing from this site. I round out the meal with some brown rice. What a wonderful recipe! My family is coming to visit next weekend, and asked for this specifically!

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2005
This is a good bread recipe. This was my first attempt at making bread all by myself (my daugther helped as well). It taste great, it took about 2 hours for the first rise instead of 45. The second rise was right on the money, 30 minutes. This will be great for dinner tonight, and I will make it again. My daughter has a lot of food allergies, and I'm looking for a honey wheat bread sandwich bread. I'll keep searching for that recipe. I don't think this what she wants for sandwiches.

Insanely Easy Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2005
This is my new chili recipe! I made this for my daughter's birthday party and it was a huge hit! I followed other suggestions of adding tomato paste, fresh cilantro, and a can of black beans. I made this the night before the party, b/c I think chili is always better on the 2nd day!
