The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2013
The BEST peanut butter cookie ever. This is such a good recipe. No changes needed. I do leave them on the pan for several minutes after they come out of the oven. They don't fall apart that way, yet do not over bake or dry out.

Belgian Waffles

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2010
These were fabulous. I followed the recipe and directions exactly (read through all the steps a couple of times before launching in) and the results were perfect. Thanks Bobbi Jo for a great recipe.

Spaghetti Pie II

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2006
This has become our "go-to" recipe for using up our leftover spagetti sauce and pasta! We're not big on warmed up leftovers so this creates a new meal with the same ingredients! I have changed the recipe slightly to make it easier (and I think tastier!). Because I use my leftover meat sauce, I don't have to make that. I use pre-made pesto that I keep in the freezer and add a large spoonful of pesto to the eggs. This adds the seasoning and cheese all in one step, plus it adds its own unique taste. I sometimes add a pinch of italian seasonings to the cottage cheese, too. Thanks for a great encore recipe that uses up leftovers but tastes like a whole new meal.

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole

This was fantastic. I love sweet potatoes - they're one of the most important parts of the meal! This will be part of our menu from now on. Thanks!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
My picky kids think this is the best chocolate chip cookie they've ever tasted! Thanks for the great recipe. I do add 1/2 t. salt to balance out the sweetness and substitute chopped pecans.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
I double the recipe (with a large family) but only use 1 can of mushroom soup and eliminate the milk. I substitute minced garlic and also add 1-2 t. cumin and 2-3T. fresh chopped cilantro. The recipe has great mexican flavor without the overwhelming canned soup taste and consistency. Thanks for a great recipe!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
This is our favorite holiday ham recipe now. We, too, substituted the brown sugar and baste it every 12 minutes (my husband who never cooks loves to do this - it's "manly cooking" in his opinion! Thanks for the great new tradition

Spanish Rice II

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2006
I added 1 T. Chipotle Pepper Sauce to the seasonings for a smoky flavor. Excellent! I, too, found that this made quite a bit so there's no need to double recipe to feed a large family.

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2005
Fantastic! I added orange zest and added the cranberries at the same time as the sugar and juice. I also cooked it over a med heat til it thickened because we like a thicker sauce.

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
This sauce tasted wonderful while I was making it, but after refrigerating for a day (and it DID gel very nicely) I was disappointed. The flavors weren't "sharp" and it tasted more like jam than a tartly sweet cranberry sauce. We will use it on the rolls!

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
This is such an easy recipe that I thought it must not be as good as a more complicated and ingredient laden recipe but I was wrong! I made 2 different sauces and this was our family's favorite. I did add the zest of 1 orange and added the cranberries at the same time as the sugar and juice. I also made this a couple of days ahead of time (we ate it all before Thanksgiving and I had to make another batch!) and it set up nicely. Definitely a keeper.

Unbelievable Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
These rolls were absolutely amazing - delicious and extremely easy! I was so intrigued by the the unique process that I had to try them. The dough was rather sticky and I also had to add some additional flour, but they were so light and fluffy. I used very lightly oiled counter to roll out pinches of the dough to form the rolls. This eliminated the need to add more flour to keep them from sticking to my hands and becoming tougher. I doubled the recipe in order to get 32 rolls, but this made 50 generous rolls! These will be a favorite recipe from here on out.

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2005
I've made this recipe several times adding 1 T lecithin as part of the melted shortening as well as 1 1/2 T dough enhancer and 3 T. vital wheat gluten along with the white flour. This is a moist and tender as well as a flavorful bread.

Simple BBQ Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
This is delicious! I've been afraid to tackle ribs before - they seemed so intimidating with all the boiling, baking, grilling,... This was easy and is now one of our family's favorites.
