I have been cooking for many years. I get my love for cooking from my late grandmother "Nanny" She was cooking by the age of 5, standing on a milk crate while her parents and siblings picked cotton. She continued cooking up till the age of 98!
I have so many fond memories watching her in the kitchen, rolling out homemade biscuits, stirring a large pot of potato soup. I am fortunate to have gotten many of her wonderful recipes! She was my inspiration.
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new chicken recipes, Casseroles, Mexican and baking. I continue to look for new recipes to add to my collection. Me and my dearest friend are looking forward to making our own cookbook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
It has to be Christmas morning. I plan for months what I'm going to try new each year. I love making a special breakfast casserole the night before, then popping it in the oven as soon as I get up.
My 21 year old insists I make this same casserole every year or he's boycotting Christmas at my house.
I recently tried pumpkin pancakes from Allrecipe.com They were off the chain!
