Gingerbread Cookies

I made this recipe specifically b/c it didn't have eggs (my daughter is allergic to eggs). I have made many Gingerbread cookies and houses in my lifetime that tasted wonderful. I wish I had written one of those recipes down. This recipe is NOT one of the good ones! Dough was very dry and crumbly. The first batch, which was fresh out of the oven, tasted stale. So bad, dry, and tasteless. I urge you to try another recipe and skip this one!

Sugar Cookie Icing

As advertised, this recipe works great. I did add 1-2 extra tsp. of milk which made it the perfect consistency. I was only able to coat 2 dozen cookies, with the recipe as written, so I do suggest you double it to start so you don't run out.

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Plain Egg Less Cake

This cake was so easy to make! You only use one bowl, so it makes for easy clean up too. My daughter has an egg allergy and I had been looking for a good egg-less cake recipe and this is it! Moist and tasty!

Easy, Eggless Strawberry Ice Cream

This was simple to make. It was also really creamy and delicious! I used only fresh strawberries and added about a 1/2 cup extra strawberries. I left out the food coloring b/c the berries were so ripe they colored the ice cream. I definitely recommend trying it!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Very good! Easy to roll and cut if the dough stays cool. Make sure to put the unused dough back in the fridge. The cookies kept getting too brown around the edges, so I made sure to cut the dough more evenly with the next batch and they cooked more evenly. Yummy!

Almond Shortbread Cookies

Buttery goodness. I will however try to find a recipe that uses ground almonds instead of almond extract for a richer taste. The amount of nutmeg is a little light for my liking, so next time I will add a couple extra dahes of nutmeg.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

The best cheesecake I have ever made. The texture is so light and fluffy, but all the flavor is there! I even used 2, 1/3 fat blocks of cream cheese. Very easy to make and will definitely make cheesecake again.

White Sauce

Is a good base for a white sauce. I sauteed some finely diced shallots and garlic with the butter. Then I added a couple dashes of salt and balck pepper to the final product. Very tasty.

Chicken Marsala

My husband made this recipe tonight and it was good. We would have left out the Sherry all together and replaced it with more Marsala. Also the sauce was a bit thin, so we added some corn starch to thicken it up.

Parmesan Chicken

I will use this recipe again. I skipped the egg and just breaded the chicken immediately after I washed it. Yes, the breading sticks. In addition to the ingredients listed, I added oregano, black pepper and garlic powder to the breading mixture.

Best Cherry Pie

I wasn't thrilled with the taste of the filling. The problem may be that I used canned tart cherries rather than fresh. The filling tasted like cherry pop-tarts and that's not a good thing. I'll try fresh next time.

Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie

With the recommendations from other reviewers, the giant cookie was a BIG sucess at my nephew's B-Day party! I only used the 2 cups of flour and 1/2 tsp. salt recommended, and a little extra vanilla. Everyone thought the cookie was moist and delicious! They also thought the cookie was made by the Great American Cookies company. I imitated the frosting decoration they use on their giant cookies (see attached photo).
