Chinese-Style Baby Bok Choy with Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Even better with fresh shiitake mushrooms!! And add a splash of sesame oil to the oyster sauce mixture. Baby bok choy really only needs 30-90 seconds minutes in the boiling water or else it gets chewy and limp.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Have made two batches and this recipe is so easy, simple, successful... amazing! I used whole milk (plain) yogurt for the sour cream both times and it worked beautifully. Subbed mixed dried berries for the raisins.

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2006
Amazing recipe. Followed the tip of other reviewers: I decreased both sugars to a half cup each, AND only added one cup of butterscotch chips (and 2/3 cups chocolate chips). It was still insanely sweet. I also added 3/4 cup dried cranberries, half cup chopped walnuts, and half cup raw sunflower seeds. The cookies were demolished very quickly. LOVE the recipe, and will put even less sugar (or butterscotch chips) next time!!! Also... 9 minutes does seem to be the magic number (I dropped by level tablespoons).

Sticks and Stones Candy Bark

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2006
Almost too painfully sweet. It was delicious and great with subs: Trader Joe's Berry Medley for the chocolate covered raisins, and Nature's Promise High Fiber cereal in place of the pretzels. I obviously was too impatient to try out the recipe to head out to the grocery store. :b

No-Fuss Cinnamon Cheesecake

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2006
I've made this twice and it's been a big hit. I agree with others that one should add just a few minutes to the baking time. An additional note. Don't be afraid to use alll of the cinnamon sugar mixture! The thick sugary top is part of the charm, and it doesn't come out too sweet at all.

Crisp Oatmeal Cookies

followed the recipe to a T but it ended up bland, and rather sparse on the oats. Had to toss the whole batch out.
