Home Made Farmer's Cheese

I took the advice of the reviews after trying this recipe the first time. I got a much better yeild. I also let the milk come to room temperature, and that will help to keep the milk from scorching before coming to temperature. Good idea...fun for the kids and my son came in 2nd in the science fair for making cheese!!!

Blueberry Vodka Martinis

I made this for my Dad for Christmas. It came out great. It tasted good and was a very pretty color. I used the frozen berries. It's hard to find fresh at Christmas. The frozen add a better color and diffuse quicker.

Pumpkin Bread

I could not get this recipe to work. My bread came out gummy and heavy. Even with adjusting the cooking time like suggested. I admit, I'm a cook not a baker...

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Good recipe! I loved the mushroom and bacon. I like swiss, but think I'll try pepperjack or provolone next time. Overall great recipe.

Grilled Country Ribs

Great Recipe! But if you follow the cooking time exactly, the ribs want to fall apart on the grill. I would back it up to 1 hour. I used butter to saute the onion, adding the garlic after the onion had cooked a little so the garlic didn't burn. Great flavor!

Seafood Sandwich

I left out the onion,added shrimp and 1/4 cup sour cream. I also increased the seasoning. I cut sub rolls in three inch sections and hollowed them out to form a cup. I brushed them with butter and toasted them. I filled them and served them at Wed Night Church supper (for 45, increase the recipe 7X) along with the Sausage-Stuffed French Loaf and a salad buffet. I turned out great! We've added the meal to our menu list!

Sausage-Stuffed French Loaf

I cooked this a week ago for church supper and everyone loved it! (everyone called it a 'fancy' supper)I left out the fennel, but replaced it with basil. And used all pork. I made 2 loaves, but tripled the recipe and it worked out great. We've added this one to our menu at church!

Sour Cream Chicken

I built off of all the suggestions in the reviews and we really liked this recipe. My main problem was my husband was late and I let the chicken overcook! I added garlic, onion, basil and s&p. The main thing to remember with this dish is: If you don't like the wine you use, you're not going to like the dish. I use white zinfendel. It turned out great!

Easy Mexican Casserole

I liked this recipe, but would have prefered a cornbread base to the tortilla base. It seemed a little greasy. I also saved the sour cream to be served on the side. I'd probably add it back next time and offer some on the side too.

Pasghetti Pizza

I omitted the milk and egg step because of time. I was cooking it for a church supper for 60 people. But it turned out great. Everyone was very curious, and it was a big hit!
