White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
This recipe is awesome and flexible. This year I made the mistake of trying to use nestle's premier white chocolate that I accidentally bought out of code date. It just melted into a big unusable blob of white chocolate. I had to go out and buy blocks of white chocolate. Watch out for expiration dates.

Doc's Best Beef Jerky

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
We really liked it. The amount of salt was perfect for us but that may be because the liquid smoke I used had no sodium in it. I made deer jerkey.

Chocolate Pecan Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Everyone loved this recipe. It was so easy to make and the compliments kept coming. I used 1 cup chopped pecans in the pie and used 1/2 c whole pecans for the topping. Make sure this pie is refrigerated for the best taste.

'So This Is What Heaven Tastes Like!' Cream Cheese Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
My family loved this dessert. I used 3/4 cup cherries and it seemed to be the perfect amount. I baked it for the 25 minutes called for in the recipe and it was the correct amount of time. This is definately a keeper. Thanks.

Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
This was excellent. My whole family loved it. The chicken was moist and sauce was perfect. I did serve it over noodles. I mixed the chives in with the cream cheese and salted and peppered the chicken breast before rolling. After covering the chicken with the sauce, I sprinkled more chives and cooked bacon on top. This recipe will be added to my rotation. Thanks.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2009
This is such a crowd pleaser and so easy and inexpensive. I didn't have the Hawaiian Sea Salt and used regular sea salt and it worked. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Chinese Cabbage Salad I

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
This was fantastic. My family and friends could not stop talking about it or eating it. I did toast the ramen and cashews in a light coating of butter. Wow, what flavor.

Savory Grilled Potatoes

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
These were so simple and very good. We will be cooking these all summer long. I sprayed the foil with a non stick spray and then cooked them on a low flame for a longer period of time. They turned out perfect.

Shrimp Dijonnaise

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
We really enjoyed this. I followed the recipe exactly and used a grainy dijon mustard which I felt really worked with this recipe. This would also make a nice appetizer for 4. Thank you for sharing.

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2009
We really enjoyed this. I doubled the recipe and put it in a 9x13 pan and baked for about 5 minutes longer. I did 1/2 with strawberries and the other half with blueberries because my husband was grossed out by the idea of a strawberry cobbler. The strawberry was delicious and we fought over the last piece. We thought the batter and fruit was well portioned contrary to other reviewers. Thank you for the recipe!

Best Easy Chicken Croquettes

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
I used a leftover roasted chicken and followed the recipe exactly. We really did not care for this one. Something was missing but I can't put my finger on it. I through out what was left. The idea is great though.

Four Cheese Macaroni

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2009
This was very good! I cooked the processed cheese and half and half together and then I added the rest of the cheese to blend it all together. I mixed the eggs in with the macaroni and then poured the cheese and half and half mixture over the whole thing and stirred. You really do need the eggs to keep it creamy. My husband said it was his favorite mac and cheese.

Buttery Soft Pretzels

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
My husband and sons ate these right up. I had no problem with the recipe. The only issue I had was I just could not get them into a proper pretzel shape. That was my own doing. I ended up making pretzel sticks. I will be making these again and again.

Chicken with Mushrooms, Prosciutto, and Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
We enjoyed this very much. The chicken was very moist and the proscuitto added so much flavor. I did as other suggested and put the mushrooms underneath the chicken and they were beautifully cooked. Next time I will try with chicken breast instead of the thighs.
