Broccoli and Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2010
I followed the recipe but I must have done something wrong since there are so many good reviews. The mayonaise and tortellini tasted awful together.

Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
Easy to make and very good. I boiled several granny smith apples until they were translucent. I picked up the apples with a slotted spoon and put them into a bowl. The apples broke apart as I stirred. Added 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Delicious!

I left out the white sugar and added canned tomatoes in place of the onion. It turned out really yummy. Will definitely make again.

Sun Dried Tomato and Asiago Cheese Bread

Reviewed: May 30, 2007
The bread alone is nothing special but it becomes delicious after you slice it, toast it, and butter it! I used spelt flour instead of the amaranth and added extra cheese. I would recommend using a light crust setting.

Quick Spinach-Ricotta Calzones

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2007
DH and I made this recipe together and we did not have success with it. The dinner roles tasted more like the corn meal than pastries and the filling was not as cheesy as we would have liked.

Avocado Watermelon Spinach Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2005
I thought this salad was O.K. but my husband did not like it. You have to REALLY like advocado and watermelon to make this work. The balsamic gives the watermelon an usual taste.

Jelly Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2005
I've made these cookies every year for Christmas. I use a variety of jellies to create an assortment of flavors. My favorite is with orange preserves (and I mix in orange peel to the dough for more orange flavored goodness).

Raisin Rice Stuffed Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2005
Delicious. I made too much of the rice mixture so I just put the extra rice in the bottom of the pan, under the chicken. The rice absorbed the juices from the chicken and tasted excellent.
