Hush Puppies I

Reviewed: May 29, 2014
I tried to half this recipe because we didn't need 2 dozen hush puppies but 1/2 an egg is just not possible (LOL!!) so I did everything half and left the 1 FULL egg in. It was still pretty goopy so I added about 3/4 cup flour to thicken it up. It looked goopy but when I added a ball to the oil... it came out AMAZING! It went really well with the topsail catfish we caught the day before! Best hush puppy recipe I have ever made!

Banana Loaf

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Excellent recipe! THE BEST Banana Bread I'm pretty sure I have ever had! The only change I made was instead of 1 cup sugar, I did 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar. The batter was even amazing so I was excited when it was done, I ate a HUGE hunking piece! I will be making this again and again and I think I will be giving it to family and friends for Xmas

Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2011
They haven't finished cooking but I did pull one out and I can tell you THEY ARE AWESOME!! They smell, look and taste the old fashioned way! It thickened up my broth for my chicken and dumplings and made it so much more hearty- just like grandmas!! I CAN NOT live without this recipe!! They are just SO perfect! The only thing I did was double the recipe and add a little bit more butter. Thank you so very very much for sharing this classic!

Mac and Cheese II

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
The BEST mac and cheese I think I have ever had. I'm sitting here now eating the leftovers!! Can't stress this recipe enough!! I used another recipe that called for breadcrumbs (Homemade Mac and Cheese) for the topping- and it was AMAZING! I choose to follow this recipe for the actual mac n cheese part to get the best result for cheesiness. It came out stellar and I will definitely be making this again for thanksgiving. I'm excited to 'WOW!' my relatives with this awesome recipe!

Glazed Nuts

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2005
I made them once but they were not good. SO I redid it, minus the cloves and ginger and added about a cup of sugar to the mix. SOOOOOO YUMMY!! made it pretty sweet and to die for!

Honey Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2005
I was very disappointed with the recipe. The chicken burned and the carmelized honey was hard to chew.

Mozzarella Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 14, 2005
Excellent recipe! I added basil, parsley and a little oregano.I let everything simmer in the pan for 30 minutes, then added some flour to make a gravy... WHICH WAS FABULOUS!! I also cut the chicken into halves. It was EXCELLENT! We will definately have this dish again!!
