Pineapple Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2013
I made this earlier in the week and behold! a teenage boy devoured half the cobbler while attention was elsewhere. His behavior was not correct, but his appetite is never wrong. Great dish!, according to all in the household. I'm making it a second time now, and let me tell you a spot of black espresso coffee and vanilla ice cream makes this a favorite dessert for everybody.

Oyster Stew for One or Two

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
This is my basic recipe, nothing more and nothing less, the way I make it for myself two times per year as a feel-good-food. My mama used to make it for me whenever I was sick in bed, so good with the memory. Perfect in the winter.

Pretty good... Be sure to season - S&P - the chicken before you add and cut into chunks. Added rosemary. Pretty good...

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
Very good, easy recipe. Made with refried beans instead of chili beans and served to a Mexican dude who came back for a second helping. Thought it was pretty good myself.

Simple Beef Short Ribs

This is a great recipe I've used many times. Most recently made it in a dutch oven and used Coca Cola as the liquid, came out delicious and easy as usual. Try it, you'll love it guaranteed.

Chili Rellenos Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Just to throw in my two cents: This is a really good, interesting recipe. Fixing it for a second time, I added hamburger to make it a substantial main course served with rolls and a salad - delicious.

Leftover Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
This is a no-fail recipe and very adaptable, Providing you cook the macaroni first. I used cream of celery soup, ham, and the recommended 2 cups of cheese. My secret ingredient: 4 chopped jalapenos, any fresh or canned chilies will work great. This dish comes out bubbling and tasty!

Chocolate Cherry Cake IV

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
I love the taste of chocolate together with cherry and this cake has them both. It's very very good and I'll be making it again. For those who don't know about sour milk called for in the recepe it can be made by adding 1 Tablespoon vinegar to one cup of milk (stir, wait 15 minutes before using). A yummer.

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2007
This was a pleasant surprize, tasty! Made a half size with one can of soup, celery, half cup sour cream, and fried onions as a topper. I also used the expensive white tuna since the cheaper tastes yukky to me. This was good.

Mountain Dew™ Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
Delicious! The cake itself is sweet and moist enough so it doesn't need the icing, but with the icing it tastes like a pineapple upside down cake but even better! Maybe one of the easiest, best tasting cakes I've made. One Warning however, cut the sugar to a half cup or the icing is too sweet! A great recipe.

Grandma's Homemade Banana Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2006
Yum, YUM, Yum - an awesome recipe! And it's a compliment that I made it a second time a day apart on Christmas Day. It bakes up beautifully in mini-trays to take as gifts. Just a note that it was made with buttermilk as a substitute for the sour milk and it comes out moist. I'll definitely be making this regularly.
