Lori's Spicy Chipotle Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2008
I like to put just a little bit more spice in it to give it a kick. Try tabasco sauce or green tabasco for just a little bit more heat.

Honey Roasted Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
These potatoes were nothing special. I really didn't get much sweetness out of the honey so I would have used at least 3 Tbl next time to give them some kick. I would also have oped for fresh course ground mustard to use instead of the dry.

Happy Shrimp

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2009
This came out amazing! After I took out the shrimp I just poured in the wine and then steamed some broccoli and mushrooms in the skillet with a lid for about 7 minutes. Then I added the cream and reduced. My boyfriend said it was one of the best dinners I've ever cooked! Everything came out cooked perfectly, thanks for a really great recipe :)

Indian Chicken Curry II

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2014
I've made it twice now and it always comes out amazing. The sauce is thick and full of flavor. My only issue is the yogurt doesn't blend completely into the sauce. I think maybe mixing the yogurt and coconut milk together before adding to the pan would work. It doesn't effect the texture at all just the presentation so I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Buffalo Wontons

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
I made these for a Packer party and they were a hit! First I deep fried them at home and then finished them in the oven at my hostesses house. I also add a little bit of sour cream and about 3 tbl of dry ranch dressing mix. It gives it a little zip.

Family Banana Nut Bread Recipe

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2014
Wow! This was so moist and it had a nice dense yet fluffy texture. I will absolutely switch out my current recipe and make this my go to. The only thing I did different is added some pecans in with the walnuts as my husband is a nut freak :)

Barbequed Peaches

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2013
I did not like this at all. The combo of the peaches and BBQ sauce was not pleasant. I think that a simple grill on the peaches and maybe a little honey and brown sugar would have been much more appealing.

Pesto Chicken Penne Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2012
I loved it and so did the husband. I used a light alfredo sauce and half the amount of the pesto. I also added some red and green peppers and half the amount of cheese (also low fat). It was really good! Service with warm dinner rolls and a side salad. Will be making again soon.

Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
I was salty, I mean really salty. There needs to be something else in the broth to balance the saltyness of the teriyaki and vinegar. I could have used some spice too it as well. Maybe adding some sirachi chili sauce would have balanced the dish. Overall, not all that impressed

Pork and Green Chile Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
I really liked the consistancy of this dish. I served it with a side of steamed 4-color peppers as well as avacado slices. It was very filling and satisfying, thanks for the great recipe.

French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2014
Not sure what happened here but I followed the recipe and it was looking good; top browning, rising nicely but then after I pulled it out at 35 minutes, it fell. The inside was not completely done but the outside was just about overcooked. Will try again but at 300° for 45 minutes. That should do it. P.S. I also added 1 tsp of nutmeg, great addition!

Perfect Crab-Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2014
I used portobello mushrooms, and canned crab however I didn't have any eggs so I had to omit it. I just baked them for half the amount of time. They were so good my husband thought there was sausage in them. I may just omit the egg purposely next time.

Better Than Sex Cake II

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2014
It was OK, I guess I was expecting more. I didn't taste the caramel at all so I would definitely double that next time as well as the whipped topping. I didn't find the cake to be soggy as others noted. It was too much cake and not enough of anything else. Will probably make again with said changes.

Bloody Broken Glass Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2014
I made these for Halloween and they turned out pretty well I only had a few issues... The "blood" was WAY too dark but the recipe as read didn't make it dark enough. The broken glass didn't setup quite right and some of the pieces were a little bent and not as cleanly broken. Overall everyone thought there were awesome and most of them were gone by the end of the night.

Spinach and Bacon Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2013
First of all there was way too much egg to fit inside the pie crust. It overflowed but luckily I put a cookie sheet under it . Also the crust was not crispy at all, it tasted under cooked and I had it in the oven for over an hour.

Hot Corn Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2013
This is now my go-to dip for pot lucks and parties. Everyone loves it and it's so easy yet tastes complex. There isn't anything I normally change except I buy the caned corn that has the yellow and white in the same can with green chilies already inside, it just gives a little more kick. GREAT recipe!

Gram's Irish Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2013
This was pretty good but I think the addition of an Irish stout would have put this over the top! The husband said it could have been thicker but that was my fault for not adding more cornstarch.
