Pumpkin Chili Mexicana

We loved this chili -- very hearty! I also loved the extra healthiness the pumpkin provided, and I think that made the food taste even better in my mind (an added benefit to all already great tasting chili). As other reviewers said, you don't even taste the pumpkin, but I think it adds a nice texture and thickness to the chili. **Added note: I made this again and made it a little healthier the second time around by using olive oil instead of vegetable oil, and using "no salt added" canned products where I could (tomatoes, corn).

Fresh Asparagus Soup

We thought this soup tasted great. We had it with grilled ham and cheese sandwiches -- delicious meal! I followed the recipe exactly and it was pretty easy to make. The only slightly difficult part was making sure it was being stirred at various points while also adding ingredients. Tasty meal when asparagus is on sale :-)

Cinnamon Cranraisin Bread

Delicious! I followed this recipe exactly and the bread came out great. I wasn't paying attention to the different rising times, so I may have put the cranberries in during the wrong mixing time, but it still tasted wonderful.

Pecan Pie V

Delicious! I was so happy that my first ever pecan pie came out great thanks to this recipe. As another reviewer said, I got a little confused about the oven temp (pre-heated it to 350 but it says to cook it at 400 for the first ten minutes), so I don't know if my oven temp was perfect, but the pie still came out great! Just preheat your oven to 400 and then turn it down to 350 after 10 minutes of baking. I highly recommend this recipe.

Mexican Turkey Burgers

Loved it! My husband told me this goes on his favorite dishes list. My only suggestion is to make sure you use the "burrito size" tortillas if you want to be able to wrap and pick it up. We used the "soft taco" size and ended up eating it open faced with a fork and knife. Kept it from being too messy -- depends how you want to eat it.
