Chicken Wellington Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
This recipe had great flavor. I'd followed other reviewers' advice and added some seasoning (thyme, garlic, etc.) and cut the chicken up into smaller pieces. The only change I will do next time I make it, is add a little chicken broth to the cream cheese mixture. It just wasn't "saucy" enough as is. But not much, just a 1/4 cup or less, I wouldn't want to water down the fantastic flavor.

Asparagus Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
Excellent recipe! My husband raved over it and all four kids devored it, asparagus and all! The only real change I made was to use ramano cheese instead of parmesan but only because that was what I had on hand. Will definitely use this recipe again and again.

Yum! And easy too. Might try with lowfat milk next time just to see how it works. But as is, delicish!

Was very disappointed in this recipe but it may have been something I did? Followed the recipe but cookies turned out really dry. =0(

Blackberry Pie I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
Good recipe. Made as written but found some of the juice very flour-y in the pie and yet still had a lot of juice that did not thicken at all (this was the juice that baked out of the berries in the oven). Was delicious though.

Best Ever Pie Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
This was my best looking crust ever! My pie was beautiful! Did exactly as written although it did end up being to wet so I added a few tablespoons of flour to compensate. The reason I gave it four stars was it didn't seem quite sweet enough for my taste. Will probably add a tablespoon of sugar to the flour next time. Thanks for a great recipe!

Peanut Butter Fingers

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2007
Very good, very easy recipe. I ended up not doing the topping, just the chocolate chips, since I ran out of time. But it was a hit anyway. Will make again. And again. And again. . .

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 25, 2007
My family gave this recipe rave reviews. Husband was especially impressed. I followed recipe as is except that I had tenderloin pieces so I didn't cut up and use as kabobs. I just left them as is and grilled as is. Perfect! Will definitely use this recipe over and over.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
The recipe itself was great. Very tasty. I knocked off a star due to presentation - it did not look appealing. Of course, that may be my fault but I've tried this recipe twice now and it still comes out in the same unappealing manner. But I will still make this again since it was great tasting. Maybe next time I'll just try slicing the chicken breast open and stuffing the cheese and ham inside instead of folding it in half? All in all, good recipe, thanks.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
Great recipe! And so easy! I did use chicken broth instead of water and seasoned the chicken before cooking with sage, thyme and salt and pepper. It did end up a tad salty so next time I will do without salt to season with. I didn't have refridgerated biscuits so I just made biscuits (Big Daddy Biscuit recipe from this website - it's fabulous!) and placed them right in. After cooking them in the crock pot I did take out the insert and place it all under the oven broiler as I like my dumplings a little more "done". Next time I'd like to try throwing in some carrots and maybe potatoes near the end of the cooking time to make it a complete meal in one dish. But as is it was still great. It was a perfect meal after a long day at the zoo. Thanks!

Wonton Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
This was a delicious recipe and very easy - just a little time consuming with all the wonton wrapping. The only problem I came across was not having enough liquid while cooking the wontons. It came out alright although I was worried there wasn't enough liquid to cook them properly at first. Next time I will add more liquid. But I was still very pleased with this recipe. Thanks!

Filipino Lumpia

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2007
This recipe was wonderful! And not difficult to make at all. The only thing I did different from the recipe was add about a teaspoon of sesame oil to the mixture. I did find that three heaping tablespoons of mixture per roll only made about 15 instead of the 30 the recipe is supposed to make. So the second time I made them I only did about a tablespoon of mixture and got a lot more rolls. Thanks for an awesome recipe!

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
Very good basic bread recipe. I was looking for something I could use for sandwhiches and this worked well. It also seems to be a very forgiving recipe. I thought I'd used too much flour (was still less than the 6 cups it calls for) and was preparing myself for dry bread as the end result. But it came out beautifully! I was very surprised. I'll be making this again.

Delicious! These were perfect pancakes. I followed the recipe except I added a teaspoon of vanilla. Just sounded good. Perfect, fluffy, melt in your mouth pancakes. Thanks! I'll be using this recipe over and over.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Disappointed in the very enchilada sauce taste to this soup. Was very easy though. I think I might try again but use more chicken stock and less enchilada sauce? Thanks though.

Crabby Cream Cheese Wontons

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
I was so excited to try this recipe but was disappointed. It was probably due to my error though. Kept losing the inside of the wontons while cooking, I think due to my oil being to hot. But with an old electric stove the temp was hard to control. The taste was okay. I think I was expecting something a little sweeter? Anyway, despite my disappointment, the hubby and kids (5 and under) absolutely INHALED them! Hence the four stars. Served with the Oriental Dipping Sauce from this site.
