Grape-Walnut Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
What a refreshing salad! My store didn't have green grapes, so I used red. With the blue cheese dressing and walnuts, everyone raved about it. Next time, I would add blue cheese chunks to give it an extra kick.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2010
My rating is purely on the cookie dough alone. I never get to make cookies out of it because my family polishes off the dough before the oven is even warmed up!

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
As good as Starbucks only cheaper. Recipe was just as good with skim milk, no whipped cream and weaker strength coffee. Lots of room to play around with this recipe.

An easy glaze to make. Turns out wonderfully done. We had no leftovers.

Steak Tip Marinade

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2008
The only change I made in the marinade was due to not having garlic pepper. I replaced it with 1/2 tsp minced garlic and 1/2 tsp Montreal Steak Spice. Our steaks marinaded for 5 hours. The flavor so so good and reminiscent of traditional BBQ that there were no leftovers!

Apple Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
After reading some of the reviews, I tweaked this recipe a bit. I added vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter. I also added nutmeg to the brown sugar topping. I cut the brown sugar down as I did the nuts (only because I didn't have a full cup on hand.) Peach filling would work well as would a spice cake mix-as other reviews mention. Pecans would be lovely as well. I love nuts. I think next time I would add them to the batter too. I can see why other reviews mention adding more pie filling. It would be nice to have more apple in each bite. This was an easy recipe to make gluten free. Now that gluten free cake mixes are widely available and it only calls for an extra tablespoon of all-purpose flour, substituting a gluten free flour is no problem!

Blueberry Stuffed French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2012
I did take the advice of another review and cubed the bottom layer of bread as well as the cream cheese. It was a lot easier then spreading the cream cheese on bread slices. I also omitted the sugar with the main dish. The maple syrup was sweet enough. Added cinnamon to my liking. Worked great with gluten free bread, though I did cook a bit longer because it still seemed soggy after 30 min.

No Bake Cookies III

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2008
I remember making these cookies as a kid. The recipe first came to me as part of a grade school health class. They are quick, easy and yummy! For more peanut butter flavor, use crunchy pb.

Almost like my mom use to make. Very tender and juicy. A great filling for shells, wraps or nachos.

Terri's Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2012
No kidding, the best Sloppy Joes I've ever had. Of course, flavour will change depending on the BBQ sauce you use, but I don't think you can go wrong with this recipe! Only thing I changed was by adding finely chopped veggies. It's the only way I can get my family to eat the healthy things.

Yummy joes! You can hide just about any veggie in this recipe. I included finely chopped mushrooms and my kids didn't even know it!
