I came across this recipe and we just had to try it. We followed it exactly. I used a mixture of apples including honey crisp. They make an excellent pie btw. All in all we like the recipe, but we feel that the syrup is a little to sweet and next time we will cut down on the sugar.

Egg in a Hole

My mother used to make these, and I still make them today. We call them "Birds Nests", but as said here before there are many names. The only thing I do different is use butter.

Campfire Foil Onion

This recipe is a whole lot better if you place a chicken or beef cube in the middle of the onion before you wrap in foil. Still a good recipe.

Chow Mein Clusters

I agree with other posters, this recipe is also called "Haystacks". My grandmother made them and I continue to do so. I make a batch of chocolate ones also. Just use chocolate chips instead. Great recipe. :)

Campfire Banana Splits

We have made this recipe for years around the campfire or even sometimes when we grill out. I always add some peanut butter and different types of chocolate chips. I enjoy experimenting with it. A good recipe :)

Funky Frito Fruckies

This recipe is a great idea. The combo of sweet and salty is a great thing. The only thing I found a problem was there was not enough sauce to cover the chips. Next time I will make double the sauce. Thanks for posting this recipe :)

JIF® Irresistible Peanut Butter Cookies

I made these for my family as a treat. I only rate this recipe a 3 cause the cookie is lacking more peanut butter taste. Other than that, it is a nice cookie. I liked the texture and look. Maybe next time add more peanut butter.

Easy Sugar Cookies

This is one of the BEST Sugar Cookie recipe I have found yet!!! I made 3 batches for my family on Christmas Eve and by mid Christmas day they were GONE! I then had to make a batch for my husband to take to work with him, and I am making some for friends today. I did not get 48 cookies per batch out of this recipe. I tend to make BIG cookies, so I only got around 12-14 per batch. The recipe says you can roll into balls.. NOPE. The mixture was to sticky to do that, and I did not want to add more flour, so I dropped by tablespoonfulls onto the pan and sprinkled with red and green sugar. The cooking time is right if you want a nice chewy cookie, if not around 12 minutes for a crispy one. This recipe is a keeper. We enjoyed them very much!!!

Campfire Vidalias

This recipe was okay, but nothing to rave about. The butter and garlic was not enough spice. The onion should not be cut but rather the spices should be inside the onion. ( in my recipe I use whole onions and core a little out from the middle but not enough to go through the bottom, then place a bouillon cube and butter then pepper. Wrap in heavy duty foil and bake or place in hot coals.)

Mom's Mustard Style Potato Salad

This recipe is okay, but not the best. It was a little dry. I had to mix up more wet ingredients. I also left out the pimentos cause we dont care for them. I doubt I will be making this again.

Eureka Potato Salad

Tried this recipe and it was different than what we are used to. To make this better I would add some onions and celery to make it a little better. Not sure about the Miracle Whip.. gave a different taste. I enjoy using Mayo in any potato salad recipes. We also did not add in the eggs. All in all not a bad recipe, but I doubt we will be trying it again.
