Garlic Anchovy Linguine

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
Very tasty dish. We ALL loved it. I substituted 1/2 cup white wine and 1/2 cup chicken broth. I also recommend not covering while cooking because it came out very runny. Once it sat for a while, the juices got absorbed and it was much better than our first helping. And last, if you don't like anchovies, don't worry, they totally disappear with all the cooking. But they leave a wonderful taste.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Wonderful dip! DRAIN the juice from the salsa or it will get watered down. I did not use lettuce. Everyone loved it!

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
These were just okay. We love the shredded brussels sprouts recipe on this site much better. To make this recipe better, I would cut the sprouts in half or more so that the ingredients blend more and would mask the bitter taste of the sprouts.

Shredded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
Our favorite Brussels Sprout recipe by far!!! I have made these a few times and they are much better just rough chopped instead of shredded. The bacon gives it a great taste. I cooked mine until they were pretty browned too. I also used roasted slivered almonds. But we had them without any nuts and they were just as good. Mmmmmm Mmmmmm good!!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
The milk curdled. As soon as I added the milk it curdled on me. So I did some research and found out that milk will curdle when added to something hot. Not sure why no one else had this problem. I followed the recipe to the T. The whole soup was ruined.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2007
WOW!!!! These were sooooo yummy!!! I baked mine for 45 minutes, then broiled them for 1-2 minutes to get the bacon really crisp. I did have to turn them and broil the other side as well. But if you put them on skewers, it's pretty easy to do. I also dredged the smokies and bacon in the brown sugar first. I thought they would be really sweet, but they weren't.

Crab Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2007
Finally, a crab stuffing like you would find in a nice restaurant!!! Yummy Yummy Yummy!!! I did not make the sauce because I wanted to taste the stuffing as it was. I would like to try it though, so perhaps next time. The only change I made was that I added a dash of Old Bay. Not sure that it even made that much of a differnce or not. Thank you for a great "catch"!

Shrimp Creole III

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2006
Very tasty and not difficult at all. I did use chicken broth instead of water. That was the only change I made. Made it last night... having leftovers tonight and can't wait! I love when after dinner my husband says "That's a keeper!" Thanks for the "keeper"!

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2006
This is Absolutely a great potato soup!!! I was looking for a simple potato soup and came across this recipe that everyone seemed to love. After making it, I can honestly say that it is much more than a 'simple' soup...it truly is very good and tastes like something you would get in a nice restaurant. Thank you Karena, this is a keeper!!!!

What a great twist on chicken!!! I loved this recipe and so did my 4 year old! Thank you for a great new chicken recipe! I don't believe in changing a recipe until you tasted it first and I'm so glad I didn't change a thing. Thanks again!!!

Absolutely The Best Shrimp Scampi

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2005
I have ordered shrimp scampi in restaurants plus I have also made it myself several times, but this recipe, by far, beats them all!!! It really does melt in your mouth. Subtle crispness on the outside and sooooo tender inside....yummmmmmmmm! :)

Very Special Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2005
I have tried several times to make my own sauce....never liked any of them. I don't like sauces that are too tangy or too sweet...this one was soooooo perfect. I didn't change anything as I like to try recipes the way they are the first time and tweak them later. However, this recipe, in my opinion, needs no tweaking. Also, I have tried several recipes from this website but this was the first one I felt deserved reviewed! Thank you Shelley for a great red sauce recipe!!!
