About this Cook
I'm adventurous and I like to try new recipes on my husband all the time… but cautious when it comes to new things, if my hubby gives me the thumbs up, I can’t wait to have friends over and show off the new and various dishes I’ve prepared!
My favorite things to cook
a bit of everything... I love anything thats bursting with flavour!
My favorite family cooking traditions
prepare all ingredients before hand so as not to rush and enjoy the 'cooking'
My cooking triumphs
So far so good, the only thing i havent mastered yet is lasagne
My cooking tragedies
chicken with bones, i cant get the hang of it... now i just buy bonless chicken, easier to deal with...

Best Brownies
Just an update: after the designated cooking time was up, I turned off the oven and left them in there for about 5 mins to set before taking them out... this solved the gooey middle and "is it ready or not yet" dilemma.

Mom's Zucchini Bread
Utterly Amazing!!! & SO EASY to make and prepare! I made the first batch in the morning, by noon it vanished! I made another one for guests later the same day and they LOVED it! Even my picky 2 year old devoured it! I did go by other's recommendations by adding half white sugar half brown sugar, I also increased the amount of cinnamon (personal preference) and added a splash of ground nutmeg which gave it a great flavor! I must add that I had to grate the zucchini very finely to make it "disappear" but the results were fantastic! Thank you for sharing! A KEEPER for sure!!!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
I have a question; can I freeze this pie? This is the first pie I've ever made and it was amazing, I've made it 3 times in 1 week, so im wondering if I want to freeze it, should I do so unbaked or half bake it before freezing?
