I am a stay-at-home mother of three who is always looking for simple, easy, affordable recipes. I love to look on allrecipes.com when I have a special occasion coming up, or when I want to try something new.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make cookies, and anything with cheese and/or garlic. You can never have enough of either one!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners were always facinating to me, and now I can say at the ripe old age of 30 I have successfully prepared both meals with no complaints.
My cooking triumphs
Making my very own cherry pie from scratch. I pitted the cherries and made the crust all by myself. I made a criss cross crust and I wish now, that I would have taken pictures. It looked and tasted Awesome!!
My cooking tragedies
Well, at the age of about 10, my friend and I tried to double a batch of chocolate chip cookies and put in 2 cups of baking powder instead of 2 teaspoons. What amazes me is why on earth my parents had such a big container of baking powder in the first place. When we couldn't even mix the batter we called for help. Dad read off the ingredients, and we realized what we had done. What a waste. At least we hadn't put the chocolate chips in yet!!

Aztec Casserole
I made this with leftover turkey after Thanksgiving and it was delicious! I left out the corn and replaced with green chiles, and added olives to the mixture and on top too. Looked great and tasted better, Thanks.

Mom's Zucchini Bread
Excellent texture and flavor! I used 1/2 vegetable oil and 1/2 olive oil, and sprinkled batter with cinnamon and sugar for a crunchy top. I also used Mexican vanilla which adds a unique flavor. I kept double checking the amounts of ingredients because the batter was so thick, but I got online and read some of the reviews and apparently this is normal and it thinned out as I mixed in the zucchini. My 10 year old son gave it a thumbs up, so it must be great!
