This recipe is wonderful!! I did change it up a bit though. I don't use alot of white flour, white sugar, etc., and sometimes have a difficult time with converting of recipes and having them turn out nicely but not this one! Perfect! With this recipe I used whole wheat pastry flour along with Agave syrup for the honey. I baked it at 325 for about 40 to 50 minutes. Turned out beautifully. Slightly crunchy outside (and a picture perfect loaf of braided bread too, wish I'd taken a picture)with a deliciously sweet dense middle. I will probably go a bit lighter on the Agave next time as it was just a tad too sweet for my tastes.

Walnut Pumpkin Pie

YUM!! I made this exactly like the recipe except used a regular pastry crust. I saw that others used 2 eggs and most recipes call for more but I used the one. DELICIOUS! It was a major hit. Am making again for Christmas and it will definitely be a regular in our house!

Sweet Potato Potato Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2008
This was very good! I used sweet onion and made sure to chop it VERY finely. No one (my kids!) could tell the onions were there but the flavor was wonderful with them. I also used Red potatoes and left the skin on. Wonderful. Was a hit with everyone, even my kids who dislike sweet potatoes in anything else!

Funnel Cakes III

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
Made this recipe for my kids last night and they were a hit! I did have to add more milk as it was a bit thick and I also added more sugar to make the batter a bit sweeter. With that they turned out just like the funnel cakes you get at the fairs/carnivals, etc! They were delicious and very easy to make.
