Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I made this a couple weeks ago because I had some leftover green pepper and chicken I wanted to use. I made it exactly as the recipe states. My S/O loved it. I made it again last week, only with leftover roasted veggies (red and yellow peppers, onions, and mushrooms). Still delicious.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2009
I always ate homemade sloppy joes growing up. The first time I had mamwich, I couldn't believe people liked the stuff. This recipe is very good and similar to what I ate growing up. I made it as directed, except for adding some vinegar.

Veronica's Hot Spinach, Artichoke and Chile Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
I loved this dip. The addition of green chilis and jalapenos give the dish a taste of spiciness with out the burn. It was great for a group of different people. I baked the dip in a 9" pie plate. It needed to cook for 40 minutes in the pie plate.

I loved this pizza. It was fairly quick and delicious. I used one 12" crust and cut the other ingredients in half.

Split Pea Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
This soup is very good. I used chicken broth, instead of water. I also added a little chicken broth to thin the soup when I added the veggies.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2009
I read the reviews and followed other people's suggestions. I used chicken thighs (because it's what I had), decreased the butter to 6 tablespoons, and baked it covered in tinfoil for the first hour. It turned out wonderfully. I served it with rice and sauted zucchini. My S/O loved it and said that he really wants me to keep the recipe in the dinner rotation. While it was good, I had to separate the grease from the sauce in order to have some to pour over the rice. Next time I'll use even less butter. Maybe 1/4 cup like other recommend. I'll only use 1/2 the marinade at the start. At 45 minutes, I'll drain the grease (from the fatty thighs) and put the rest of the marinade in.

Butterscotch Gingerbread Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2009
I used slightly less butterscotch chips, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. Was excellent. The sweetness of the butterscotch plays nicely against spiciness of the Ginger snap.

Sauerkraut Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
This is crazy, freaking good. I used 1/2 the sugar recommended, but otherwise made as directed. My significant other and I both loved it. Will make this with all leftover sauerkraut from now on.

Oregon Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
I've made this recipe half a dozen times in the last year. Delicious. Only change I'd suggest - mixed the cracker crumbs into the patties, instead of breading them. Also, I like to cook them in olive oil.

Excellent. If you like fennel at all, you should try this. It goes together with very little effort.

Mom's Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
I didn't have liquid smoke, which I'm sure would have made a huge difference, but this was delicious as it was. I love a good meatloaf, and this is a great base with the combination of bread crumbs, corn meal, and oat meal.

Recipe was very good. Made the frosting w/ 3 cups of sugar instead of four and it was plenty sweet. Didn't have any trouble w/ the cake being dense like some other reveiws.

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
The pork chops were fairly tasty. The s.o. thought they were good, not great. Probably won't make again. Takes too long to cook for a weeknight. And it wasn't special enough if I'm going to spend the time on the weekend.

Fairly easy to make, and the s.o. loved it. Only change was what was suggested by other reviewers. Add the provolone right at the end.

Red, White, and Green Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
My SF doesn't think it's really dinner unless there's meat involved. I tossed some chicken on top of the ricotta cheese layer. We both thought it was very tasty.
