Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2009
I made this recipe exactly as written. It is a very good, mild tasting soup. I've made this recipe about 10 times in the past year. I find it gets the best comments when I double the amount of ham and add a bay leaf to the pot.

Red, White, and Green Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
My SF doesn't think it's really dinner unless there's meat involved. I tossed some chicken on top of the ricotta cheese layer. We both thought it was very tasty.

Rhubarb Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2008
The sour cream makes the muffins very moist, but a little dense. They were still delicious.

Sour Cream Chicken Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I made this a couple weeks ago because I had some leftover green pepper and chicken I wanted to use. I made it exactly as the recipe states. My S/O loved it. I made it again last week, only with leftover roasted veggies (red and yellow peppers, onions, and mushrooms). Still delicious.

Skillet Sweet and Tangy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2009
These were pretty good. Easy to make. I simmered them longer than 10 minutes though. Probably about 30 minutes, while I was cooking my side dish.

Starkey's Mashed Potato Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
I used a Boboli crust, brushed it with olive oil and spinkled a little garlic powder on it. I topped this with regular mashed potatoes. Sauted some onion and added that with the bacon. I used Monteray Jack cheese on top. I used a pizza stone that had already heated and broiled it for about 7 minutes. I thought it was okay, but my SO loved it. Next time I would not use the olive oil - it made the potatoes hard to spread over the crust. Also, I'd use a little more cheese. Will probably make again at my SO's request.

Mango-Lime Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2009
This rice was good. Not great. I made it with Jasmine rice - but that was the only change. Could have used a little more lime juice to enhance the lime flavor.

My friend and I agreed that this was pretty good, but not great. Picking a peanut sauce you love is key.

Sauerkraut Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2009
This is crazy, freaking good. I used 1/2 the sugar recommended, but otherwise made as directed. My significant other and I both loved it. Will make this with all leftover sauerkraut from now on.

Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2006
Recipe was very good. Made the frosting w/ 3 cups of sugar instead of four and it was plenty sweet. Didn't have any trouble w/ the cake being dense like some other reveiws.

Spinach Cheese Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2009
This was easy enough to make. I did substitute ricotta cheese for the cottage cheese. And I added some grilled chicken. It was a tasty enough, but nothing special. Will not be making again.

Quick Chicken with Asparagus and Provolone

Reviewed: May 14, 2009
Fairly easy to make, and the s.o. loved it. Only change was what was suggested by other reviewers. Add the provolone right at the end.

Veronica's Hot Spinach, Artichoke and Chile Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2009
I loved this dip. The addition of green chilis and jalapenos give the dish a taste of spiciness with out the burn. It was great for a group of different people. I baked the dip in a 9" pie plate. It needed to cook for 40 minutes in the pie plate.

Mom's Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2009
I didn't have liquid smoke, which I'm sure would have made a huge difference, but this was delicious as it was. I love a good meatloaf, and this is a great base with the combination of bread crumbs, corn meal, and oat meal.

You don't really get any cranberry taste after slowcooking it. It all got eaten, but no one was raving about it.
