Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
They are absolutely fabulous! I didn't have anise,so I added a tbl of almond extract and 1/2 tsp of vanilla. Followed the directions otherwise and cut them w/the pizza cutter while still warm flipped them on their side and put them back in the oven like the recipe states. They are delish! Oh, I also added 1/4 cup crushed almonds.

Yummy Steel Cut Oatmeal

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I've made it with different fruits and I still love it. It's a very fulfilling breakfast. I don't find that the flax seeds change the texture or taste, it just adds more fiber to it. I've also replaced the brown sugar w/splenda and tastes yummy.

Jan's Wheat-N-Honey Sandwich Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
Very easy and delicious! The family loved it! I used oil instead of butter and 1/3 c honey, I think it could have used a little more honey to really have it be a little sweet. But a definate keeper! Thanks WFD Mom!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
The taste is great. Not too sweet like other sugar cookies. This one turned out soft. You have to put it in the fridge for it to be easily rolled out. I attempted rolling it out instantly out of the KA and it was a sticky mess. Be patient, unlike me.

Pita Chips

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
Easy to make. I split the pitas in half, then cut them into triangles to get more out of the pitas. I sprayed the cookie sheet, placed the pita triangles on there, sprayed them again w/olive oil spray then sprinkled the seasoning to make it 'stick'. They crisped up really nicely. Next time I will try w/whole wheat pitas for an even healthier snack. Thanks.

S.C.A. Trail Bread

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
I'm rating this 4.5. I added more honey based on other reviews and I also added vital wheat gluten. I halved the recipe b/c 9 cups seemed like so much and I was still able to get 2 good sized loaves. I used 3 cups bread flour and 1.5 cups of wheat flour. The kids liked this more than my all wheat bread recipe. Thanks. This is a keeper.

Frozen Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2011
These were easy to make, however mine took longer to rise. I used this dough to stuff with sausage and eggs like breakfast pockets. Make sure you have plenty of time on your hands when you make these. They are worth the time. Thanks.
