Breakfast Casserole I

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
I made this the night before for a brunch and it turned out delicious! I used only six slices of bread, because they all didn't fit. I broke up the bread pieces to fit the dish and added a bit more butter to the slices. It was very good and the bread was fluffy! I would make this again.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2005
I told my boyfriend I was making a broccoli salad for a picnic and he grimaced. Until he tried it! He loved the salad and so did everyone else. I left the bacon on the side for my vegetarian friend. I also didn't use all of the dressing...the recipe made too much. Definitely a good way to eat broccoli.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
This turned out very pretty. But the cream was a bit lumpy, as others mentioned. I used the chocolate shell recipe from this site in between the crust and the cream...yum! Everyone seemed to think it was delicious...the lumps just bugged me.

Crab Dip

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2006
This was awesome! My family raved about it. I didn't use the bread bowl and just cooked it in a baking dish. I added a cup of parmesan cheese and it was sooo tasty! Plus, there were some leftovers since there was just four of us. I reheated it the next day for 10-15 minutes on 350 degreees and it was just as good. Definitely making this again. Thanks!

Pumpkin Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
I have made this recipe for two years now and I always get rave reviews! I always substitute the butterscotch chips for chocolate chips and they are a hit. Very moist and totally fulfills the holiday pumpkin craving...

Oranged Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
I love this recipe! I always add a little more orange juice than water. I add a little honey to make it a little more sweet than tart. Additionally, I add a mixture of cornstarch and water to make it a bit more thick. The flavor is so good and it just gets better as it sits in the fridge.

Baked Ziti IV

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
Definitely don't forget to layer like the recipe says, definitely use a 10 X 13 pan, and DEFINITELY use homemade sauce! This was a great recipe.

Curried Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was just okay. I would try it again as a base, but it needs a lot of work. It has so much potential for more flavor.

Elegant Pork Loin Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2009
This was a good recipe. The cook time was way too much the first time I tried it...3 hours made it very dry! The second time I cooked it, I did it for two hours and it ws still almost too much. I would try an hour and a half for a 4 pound roast next time. Definitely use a thermometer! Decreasing the time unfortunately cuts down on the basting opportunities which affects the sauce. There was also way to much dried fruit. I'm sure with some tweaking this could be an excellent recipe. But it really needs tweaking....

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
Excellent recipe with the modifications listed by other reviewers (ie teaspoon of cinnamon, dash of nutmeg and one tablesppon of vanilla added to the sauce). I also used less apples because they didn't fit. AND, I used a dutch topping per the site. I got rave reviews even from my sister who doesn't like apple pie...
