About this Cook
I am 25 years old, and I love to bake bake bake!
My favorite things to cook
Stir-frys, Homemade pastas and sauces. Baklava. My newest favorite thing to do is canning! I have made a bazillion and a half different kinds of jams and jellies in the last two weeks. Yesterday, I made a Apple Butter...Oh twas deliciouso!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baklava every Christmas!
My cooking triumphs
Once again the Baklava that I was taught by a neighbor when I was about 11 years old. I still make it great every year. It was so hard at first, it took me hours to complete one batch. Now I bust them out really quick.
My cooking tragedies
Today I baked a cake in a bundt pan and didn't flour and grease it enough? The top half is still in the pan right now.

Emily's Famous Banana Oat Muffins
Pretty good recipe. As one reviewer noted, the recipe more than likely refers to large bananas. I however had regular sized ones, so I upped it to 4. The mix look just a little thick, so I added a splash of milk. The result was a moist bread. If I were to make any adjustments to the recipe, it would be to include some salt. The bread tasted bland and I feel a 1/2 tsp of salt would have perked that up. Easy enough fix. Will certainly make this recipe again.

Royal Coconut Cookies
This is the perfect simple little cooky. As one reviewer suggests, these are chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside. I would be interested to try the other reviewers suggestion of adding macadamian nuts and white chocolate, as that is one of my favorite cookies, and I think the mesh of the two types would be phenominal! This ones going down in my recipe file.
