Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2010
LOVE this recipe....although there are many suggestions regarding "tweaking" it - the recipe doesn't need tweaking! - The beauty of the recipe is the a minimal prep time...previously I've used the "brown the beef" method so I was a little hesitant about not doing that...but the results were wonderful...tender, moist and delicious. The only adjustment I will make next time is to double the recipe!!! Thanks for sharing.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
I'll add my 5 stars to the other 1800 ratings for this recipe. Made it according to the recipe - with the exception of adding diced banana as well - it was wonderful...not at all runny as some others found...I think the key may be in how you dice the fruit - I would imagine using a food processor might overdo it and cause it to be runny. One of the great things about the recipe is that you can add whatever your favorite fruit is and it's still delicious! I'll be making this often Thanks for sharing.

Scott Hibb's Amazing Whisky Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: May 27, 2008
Incredible!!! My first attempt at BBQ ribs got rave reviews from everyone at the Memorial Day picnic! The sauce is awesome, just spicy enough. As for the ribs I confess, I combined your recipe with some others and made Emeril's Creole spice rub and marinated overnight, baked for 3+ hrs., then slathered in the yummy bbq sauce and grilled over indirect heat to finish them off...(I had to put the pan I baked them in on the grill since the ribs were so tender then fell apart when I tried to move them!) Thanks for sharing!

Pork Tenderloin with Tomato and Pepper Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
Very good. The only change was that, as others, I didn't find it necessary to boil the pepper and onion - I briefly sauted them in the skillet, then removed them and added the butter and garlic, then browned the meat and followed the recipe from there. Served it over rice - terrific!...Thanks, Justin.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2008
Don't you just hate when someone says great recipe, then goes on to tell you all the things they did to change it???? Sorry, but I have to....this has become a regular at our house. Not that it's not great as is, but I've made the following changes to suit my family. I add sliced carrots and celery and a little onion in the bottom of the crock pot, use chicken broth in place of water then add peas just before the biscuits. I've also found that Bisquick drop biscuits are so much better than the refrigerator biscuits. Thanks for the recipe!

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
Excellent! My daughter surprised us by making this recipe for dinner on her day off from school - she followed the recipe exactly (with the exception of making extra pasta) - it was wonderful! ...the only problem was that it was SO good, it was hard to stop eating!

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
Wonderful recipe. Quick and easy - one of those things people think you've spent a lot of time on! I've made this a number of times and typically use canned petite diced tomatoes, and definitely fresh basil. When I don't have cooked chicken breast on hand, I'll cube my chicken, sauté it in a little EVOO and garlic, then add the tomato and basil to the pan. Great dish to thro together after work, serve with a salad and crusty bread.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2008
5+ This is one of my favorite recipes. I've made this dish a dozen times and get rave reviews every time I serve it. Great just as it is, but I have tried substituting the beef broth with French onion soup for a little different flavor, also excellent. Don't have beef broth on hand?...chicken broth works just as well. Very versatile and excellent every time. I've tried with pork loin roast - the taste is still good, but it's a bit dryer due to the lower fat content in the meat. Thanks for an awesome recipe to add to my regulars!

California Sherry Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2007
Excellent...the whole family loved it. Not only delicious, but quick, easy, colorful and healthy! Will add this to my favorites. Followed the recipe exactly with the exception of taking the advice of others to double the sauce. I sauted the veggies in a little chicken broth, that worked well. I can see that this dish would work with any number of veggie combinations but, love it just as it is. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent! The whole family loved it! I received this recipe via "The Daily Dish" from Allrecipes.com and have to admit after reading thru it, I wasn't sure if we'd like it. Turns out, the only thing we didn't like was the fact that there wasn't enough! Amazing - quick - easy - and delicious. Thanks for sharing!

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Excellent! Followed the recipe exactly and was not disappointed - wasn't at all runny or mushy. Perfect blend of tart and sweet - the lattice top was especially impressive and worth the extra effort. I enjoyed the rave reviews "my" pie received this Easter...thanks for sharing!
