Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
I scaled the butter and sugar down to 3/4 cup respectively and it was perfect. I prefer this over candied yams...so delicious!!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Absolutely perfect! I omitted the salt as I didn't find it necessary since the canned tomato products already have sodium as do the sausages. I still found it a little salty so I will use the salt free tomato paste and sauce next time. Its not clear in the instructions but I took the casings off the sausages and mashed them in with the ground beef. I used fresh mozzarella and parmesan and it was delicious! It did take me a long time to make but it was worth it. Although next time I will definitely make this on a day off of work since it is very time consuming.

Deep Fried Oreos®

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
Delicious!! I followed the directions on the pancake mix box and made the batter extra thick and left it in the fridge for a couple of hours. I used two forks to whip it around in the batter and get it covered nicely. Will never pay for these at a carnival again!!

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I made this for Easter with the family. It was gone within 30 minutes and I dont have a large family. The only modification that I made was that I added about a tablespoon (give or take) of olive oil.

So easy to make and it tastes fabulous! I dont like mushrooms but I love the flavor they give. I eat the chicken and the sauce but not the mushrooms. DELISH..with no modifications.

Baked Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2009
I made this recipe on a whim because I saw that I had everything it called for in my kitchen. It was so easy to make and tasted really really good. The only change I will make next time is that I will cut the salt by half. The seasoned bread crumbs already have salt in them so I think its unessary to add so much more salt. But that's just me. I like to cook with very little salt.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
This was awesome. So easy to make and tasted wonderful. Some reviewers said thier popcorn came out gooey or soggy, I think they may have not left it in the oven long enough. Mine was gooey and soft at first but after an hour in the oven they were crunchy and separated easily. Great recipe..will definitely make again!

Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2008
This was a great soup but I think the recipe itself comes out a little bland. Like other reviewers, I added more and different spices and half the salt. Next time I will add less cream because I thought it tasted before the cream. I also added shredded carrots for a little texture. I did not make the croutons.

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2005
This recipe comes out delicious and is very easy to make. I let the temperature get up to 300 degrees (hard crack) and it came out perfect. You must stir constantly to avoid burning.

Irresistible Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2005
I don't eat pecan pie but I made two of these for Thanksgiving and everyone loved them. I only used 1 cup of pecans and it was just enough. I also added vanilla and a bit of rum. Very very easy to make. I also did not make the pie crust from this recipe, I made my own which does not contain sugar.
