Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
This recipe was okay. I hated the onion soup mix in it, which is strange because I use it in other recipes. My husband didn't like the steak sauce. The meat was so wet, I would use 2 lbs instead of 1.5 lbs. My advise is to go to the most helpful and read the review with the highest number. I think if I had read it first it would have been better.

Buckeye Balls II

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
I made this for the Ohio State football game last Saturday. I read most of the reviews and here are my tips. Only use 3 cups of powdered sugar if you don't sift it. Only add 1 cup at a time. The first cup you can use with a spoon, but the second and third cups use your hands it is so much easier. Then after you roll them into balls, put the tooth picks in and then put them in the fridge. I just melted the chocolate in the microwave (in a plastic container with a lid setting on top) because it is so much easier and quicker. Just do it 30 seconds at a time until melted. Then you dip the balls in the chocolate leaving a little of the peanut butter showing at the top so it looks like a real buckeye nut. Do not cover the entire ball with chocolate. If you don't like the tooth pick hole showing, just smooth it with your finger. But honestly these are so delicious, who cares if there is a tooth pick hole. Hope these tips help. Thanks

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2006
Wow!!! This really is quick and easy and delicious. I didn't have any onion or celery. I used a can of peas and carrots instead. This recipe is a keeper, so quit reading the reviews and make it already. ;-)

Basic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
I just made this recipe and it is fantastic. I made this recipe x 4. I only used 1/2 the milk (I think if I added any more it would be too runny) and added 4 dabs of cream cheese for a little umph. Excellent, this is a great recipe for you to make into your own.

Pistachio Fluff Fruit Salad

A tip: IF YOU DON'T WANT THE BANANAS TO TURN BROWN SOAK THEM IN THE PINEAPPLE JUICE AND ADD A SPLASH OF LEMON JUICE WHILE YOU PREPARE THE DISH. I promise they will not turn brown.

Pot Roast in Foil

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2005
This is really good. I like my meat well done so I cooked for the full 4 hours. I used 2 cans of Cream Mushroom soup and 1 packet dry onion mix. I added baby carrots, whole mushrooms, and baby red potatoes (cut in half). Unfortunately I used a larger pan and there wasn't much gravy (it just dried all over bottom). Next time I will use a 9*13 inch pan and see how the gravy turns out then. Everything still tasted delicious. The meat was so tender, but I think it needs some more seasoning. I will definately make this again and play around with the seasonings.

Bakery Shop Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2005
This is not icing. I totally agree with "cadillacdriver" when she said that it is a filler for pastries. It's not bad tasting, I found it a little grainy (I beat for 5 min) but the name of this is definately misleading.

Bubble Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2005
I'm sorry for giving this such a low rating. This recipe sounded so good and with all the good reviews I was sure it would be delicious. Unfortunately my family did not like this at all. The topping was delicious, but the biscuit crust we all disliked. It just didn't taste "italian". Maybe some garlic bread would work better instead of biscuits. Anyways, I won't be making this again. Thanks anyways.

Joy's Prizewinning Trifle

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2005
FANTASTIC!!! This recipe is wonderful. I used white chocolate pudding mix (advised by another-thank you) and loved it. My family are total fruitaholics so I added blueberries and mandarin oranges. It was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to make this for the 4th of July. The strawberries and blueberries will make a great presentation of red, white and blue. I urge everyone to make this. Trust me, you won't regret it. It was easy and absolutely delicious.

Pizza Pasta

DELICIOUS! I only have a few suggestions: I like my pepperoni a little crispy so the next time I make this I will cook the hamburger and pepperoni together. Drain it then add the rest of ingredients. (My pepperoni was just too soggy.) I also put the cheese on top and then topped with more pepperoni. It just gave it a nice presentation. And lastly, you will definately need more spegetti sauce. I added 3/4 of another jar. My 5 year old loved this recipe. Next time I will make some garlic bread too.

What a wonderful recipe. I didn't have all the ingredients on hand, but it still was good. My 5 year old loved it and when other reviews say it's even better the next day--they weren't kidding! YUM YUM

Corn Dog Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2005
This recipe is WONDERFUL! I didn't add the celery, onions, or sage. I did add 1 can of creamed corn and it was delicious. My husband didn't like it. But my 5 year old and I did. I definately will make again. (When hubby will be working late) :) Thank you Kathe.
