Matthew's Bearnaise Sauce

This was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Didn't have tarragon on hand but made it with tarragon infused vinegar. This was SOOOO good and so easy. Very creamy and fantastic flavor. We had it with filet mignon and it just really elevated the flavor of the meat. I've made bearnaise before but this one was super easy and the most delicious!

Baklava

I shared this with 4 people and I got 4 "OMG"s!!! My husband had baklava for the first time a month ago while away and has been searching for a restaurant locally that has it. I surprised him by making this recipe. I followed the ingredients exactly and it came out sooo good! I only had to bake it for 35 minutes though. I used half almonds and half pecans. YUM! He said it was better than the restaurant one!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

SOOO good! The trick is to take them out of the oven before they are overdone. I made the mistake of cooking them until lightly browned and they came out crunchy. So the next batch I took out at 14 minutes - perfect! Very soft and chewy and so good! I did *not* have to refridgerate the batter. They stayed chewy and nice for 2.5 days.

Pumpkin Muffins II

These came out yummy! I used a full can of pumpkin puree - 3.5 cups. And so used 2 sticks of butter in place of the oil. They were delicious! My kids ate every last one. They made 9 muffins and 6 HUGE muffin heads.

Deviled Eggs

These were good. Many of my guests commented they were surprised by the sweet but didn't seem to love it. So if I were to make this recipe again, I would reduce the sugar. I followed the recipe exactly - doubled.

White Cake Frosting II

This frosting was YUMMY! and the perfect consistency - fluffy! I substituted milk for the warm water and I used 1 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. Delicious! All the mom's at my 4 year old's B-day party had 2 pieces! Used it with whipped cream cake from this site -- my new favorite recipes for cake and frosting! Three people asked for the recipe. :)

Whipped Cream Cake I

This cake is awesome! I was looking for a quick cake recipe for my son's 4th birthday. It was easy to make, followed the recipe exactly. Yummy!!! Light, delicate, fluffy, and just the right sweetness. I will definitely be using this for my "standard" white cake recipe. Thanks!!
