Basil Pesto Bread Rounds

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Pity the poor soul who had to work late when I made these. Because a whole loaf was gobbled up in no time. Will make again and again. YUM!

Made this recipe for a lunch @ work and then for dinner @ home the same night. Was a huge success in both venues. Very cheesy, great flavor. Fresh rosemary was not available, used dry. Will make again! YUMMY!

Three Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
Tripled the recipe for work lunch. Was a huge hit. Added a couple squirts of ketchup, a little salt and pepper. Used great northern beans instead of butter beans. Baked the night before, reheated stovetop and served in a large crock pot. Family requested a batch for tonight! Nice change from Calico beans.

Made a plastic container of this. Keep it in my fridge for instant hot buttered rums. SO GOOD! Perfect for Minnesota evenings. Thanks! Time to replenish.

Cold Macaroni and Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
I think this is a great recipe. I really love to subtitute canned chicken, throw in some celery, season salt and dill. Success. Great with tuna, chicken or ham and cubed cheese.

Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2005
Served this at work and at home. Was well recieved in both places. Took the advise of others and added some red wine vinegar, lemon juice and salt to the dressing. If you don't mix the dressing in and scoop out the salad it will keep for leftovers. It is a keeper!

Honey Garlic Ribs

Was very quick and easy. Was leary at first because it seemed runny, which resolved itself with continued baking and turning. Flavor was yummy. Will take advise of others and use country style ribs next time. Thanks!

Baked Spaghetti I

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2005
This recipe is simple to assemble and bake. I will make it again with some alterations. I will add more spice to zip it up somehow. Possibly using Italian sausage and more seasonings. Family liked it but everyone felt it needed something, kinda bland.

Ambrosia Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2005
As per the other reviews I altered the recipe some. I kept the topping to 8 oz., cut the coconut to 1 3/4 cup, and the nutmeg to 1/2 teaspoon. Next time I will cut the coconut more. My husband liked it but thought it was a bit "granola-like"! All in all, very quick and easy and will make again!

Bing Cherry Gelatin Mold

My family did not much care for this one- had to really encourage them to taste it, and they are not picky. We all agreed to the nuts (even cut in half) were very overwhelming. I guess we have to keep shopping.

Easy Turkey Gravy

I'm not sure what I may have did wrong but this gravy had no color, even a bit greenish! Taste was good, finally thickened with added cornstarch, not with standing as recipe suggusted.

Flavor was good, however, what is up with the gooey texture. I'll stay with my regular mashed potatoes and just add garlic.
