Maureen's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
i was looking for a baked beans recipe to take to a picnic. Something differant than the same old thing. This was it. I doubled the recipe thinking there would be leftovers to bring home. Boy was I wrong. They ate every last bean! This is a great recipe and so easy. They smelled delicious while cooking and tasted just as good. Thanks Maureen.

Italian Sausage Dip

Reviewed: May 30, 2005
I took this to a party this weekend. I doubled the recipe and put it into my 5 qt. crock pot.It was gone in minutes!!! Everybody loved it and wanted the recipe. I served it with Tostitos Scoops so you could get lots of the dip with each bite. Thanks Lois for a very yummy and differant dip. My friend suggested thinning it down a little bit with either milk or half and half, saute the peppers and onions with the sausage and serving it over pasta for a meal. Can't wait to try it that way too.

Taco Salad I

Reviewed: May 30, 2005
I make a very similar version of this salad. The differance is I add the french dressing, along with the same size bottle of zesty Italian dressing, to the lettuce mixture just before I am going to serve it and mix well. I also let each person put the salsa and sour cream onto their own serving. Some like hot salsa and some like mild salsa.

Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: May 30, 2005
Have made this salad alot since I came across the recipe. My family loves it. And it makes a great summer salad. If I need to take it to a large gathering I put it in my glass punch bowl. All the layers show. The top of my bowl widens out so I double the dressing so I have enough to spread over the top. Thanks Leah!

Banana Split Cake V

Reviewed: May 30, 2005
A very similar recipe was given to me 20 years ago by a friend who moved shortly afterwards. I lost my copy and have been trying to remember the recipe. Thanks so much for submitting this recipe. My family loves this cake! A great summer dessert. Very rich but worth every calorie. The only differance is that my recipe drizzled chocolate syrup over the whipped topping and then sprinkled either chopped pecans or walnuts and chopped marachino cherries on top...just like the real ice cream treat.
