Chicken Wings Pacifica

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
these were amazing i tried it the way Kristi B said and did it on the stov top ... browned the wings good first in a stick of butter.. removed them - added brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, ground ginger ... pineapple juice (instead of water) ... and the can of chunks .. brought that to a boil and added the wings back in - i didnt really measure anything .. just used eye measurements . the sauce is thick and yummy - going to make wild rice with it .. cant wait for dinner !!!

Cheese Corn Spoon Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
This was WONDERFULLLLLLLLL ... only I didn't add the cheese. Not that I don't absolutely LOVE cheese but I figured I didn't need the extra calories and it was delicious even without it !!! Thanks for another wonderful recipe on this wonderful site !

Broccoli and Sausage Cavatelli

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2004
This was great - I will be making it again and again - I added some basil to the oil while it was cooking and I was thinking next time I'll try it with spinach - My mom always made this as well but used to use broccoli rabe - that was always good too - I think anything even something like asparagus would be good with this - any kind of greens actually :) Thanks for submitting this - ohhh and btw I added plenty of red pepper flakes - I like it hot and spicy even though the sausage was spicy too :)

Vegetable Lasagna in Parmesan Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2004
EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT - I added a few extra seasonings though like dried parskey and I too couldnt find fresh basil this time of year (had it been summertime I could have found it in my mom's garden) .. but anyway .. it was delicious and will definitely make it again - I never tried to make a veggie lasagne and always used the traditional meatballs and sausage and gravy (or sauce depending on where you are from) .. I recommend this to anyone looking for an easy and delicious veggie lasagne .. Next time though I think I'll add some fresh chopped spinach to the veggie mixture :) Thanks for a great recipe !!!! Try it .. you'll LIKE IT !!!!

Chicken Curry I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2002
I have a boyfriend who is 1/2 Indian. He was so surprised when I made this along with Indian Dahl with Spinach (also on this site) which was also wonderful. He said it tasted very authentic and came quite close to his own mother's ... Now that's a compliment !!! I loved it as well. I did add more cayenne than it said though and more curry than it said, and crushed red pepper as we both like spicy food. I recommend it highly !!!!

Indian Dahl with Spinach

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2002
I have a boyfriend who is 1/2 Indian. He was so surprised when I made this along with some curried chicken. He said it tasted very authentic and came quite close to his own mother's ... Now that's a compliment !!! I loved it as well. I did add a bit of chana masala and crushed red pepper as we both like spicy food and to give it a bit more "zap". As it cooked I tasted it and added more of each of the spices to kick it up a bit. I recommend it highly !!!!
