Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2011
I was so excited to make these for work...and home. The batter was tart. I hoped that after baking they would be ok. Nope, these almost had no taste whatsoever. Put frosting on, hoping that is what they were missing. Nope.

Mom's Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2011
Followed recipe except did not have buttermilk, so used regular. I liked these better than Bisquick. Hubby liked also but thought they could have used a little sugar. Very good.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
I can't believe I've never made this....but, made it for a food at work - followed recipe with the walnuts. Used a bundt pan. Everyone raved about how it was just the right amount of sweetness. Will be making this often.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
GREAT - used French Onion soup (from another review)....otherwise, followed recipe. Reminded me of Stouffers frozen dinner of Salsibury Steak with the mac and cheese....only better!

The Best Lemon Bars

wow - these are sooo easy and great - the crust on the bottom is perfect - the whole thing is perfect - added lemon juice from two lemons and then just from a bottle that equaled one more lemon - otherwise followed recipe

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
to cook a ham in a crock pot it doesn't have to completely fit.....if the lid won't fit, cover tightly with aluminum foil - works just like having the lid on

Easy and yummy. Made homemade "yeast" cinnamon rolls as gifts. Got more compliments on this frosting than the rolls!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2005
GREAT - here were my modifications....followed recipe but used chicken broth instead of water and added 1 tbls poultry seasoning. PERFECT. Other personal notes....4 breast halves were too much, next time I'll use three. I thickened mine with flour - took quite a bit, but came out perfect.

Basic Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2005
Easy and good. Makes a cake pan full to the top. I used two full jars of sauce and could have maybe used a little more. Also, seasoned my hamburger after browning with partial packet of spaghetti seasoning. Wished I would of halved the amt of spaghetti or layed cheddar cheese slices in the middle and then on top. Add cheese the last 15 minuets on the top. Leftovers are even better.

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2005
GREAT - three chicken breasts halves are plenty - definately add 1/2 cup milk - used at least 8 oz noodles - used one can cream of chick and one cream of celery - 2 cups crushed crackers mixed with one stick melted butter (could use cornflakes also)- meant to sprinkle pepper jack cheese before topping, but forgot - hubby and kid loved it!

Toasted Garlic Bread

I didn't have any mozzarella, so I added 2 tbls. of parmasan. I only cut up the garlic and it was a little crunchy, so I won't do that again. Quick and good!
