Microwave Peanut Brittle

I've tried this recipe twice and it burnt both times before I even added the butter & vanilla. Any ideas?

Cranberry Hootycreeks

These were a lot of fun to make for the holidays. My little girls enjoyed helping fill the jars. We used silicone funnels to easily add the ingredients. They cut out fabric squares and ties ribbons around the top of the jars. We called them "Cranberry Cuties" instead. My sister made them from the jar we gifted her and they tasted amazing! We've made them several times since and they always get great compliments and never last long. Thanks for a great recipe.

Garlic Roasted Summer Squash

My favorite way to prepare yellow squash! I use less olive oil. I vary the spices. Sometimes dill, other times just thyme, oregano, and parsley. It is also good with a garlic infused oil and Italian seasoning.

Fried Green Tomatoes

The lemon pepper is a wonderful addition! As others state, it needs an egg wash before frying. Upon doing that, the lemon pepper was left in the egg. SO, I added the lemon pepper to the cornmeal instead. I dipped the maters in the eggs and dredged in the cornmeal/lemon pepper mixture. Served with a bacon ranch dressing. Yumm!

Spanish Slaw

This recipe is really good. It's a nice departure from the mayo based slaws. I used the 16 oz. bag of 3-Color deli slaw. I left out the grated onion and instead added 2 minced green onions. I didn't have ground mustard on hand, so just used prepared yellow mustard. VERY GOOD!

Rainbow Clown Cake

I've made this twice now and it is so easy and fun to make. My kids enjoy helping stir the different color icing gels into the different bowl of batter. I make this in a rectangular baking stone for easy traveling. It is so cute! Thanks for the great recipe.

Alabama Pulled Pig

I used a 3.5 lb. butt roast and put it in the crockpot since I don't have a smoker. I turned it over in the liquids every couple hours. It was done at 8 hours on low. It pulled right off the bone and shredded easily. I drained off the fat from the liquids and added the shredded meat back in to simmer 30 minutes more. I added a couple teaspoons liquid smoke and a couple tablespoons Pampered Chef Smoky barbecue rub then. It is soooo yummy! Great recipe!

Turkey Burgers

This recipe is delicious. I left out the salt as many suggested. I also used chicken stock in place of water. I mixed it all together and let it sit for 20 minutes before shaping into patties and grilling. These were so great and moist. The children and hubby loved them. I'll make them many more times!

Golden Pancakes

These pancakes are delicious and filling. They are power packed with protein. My entire family loved them. They are good wrapped around turkey sausage or just with berries and powdered sugar. The texture is more like a crepe than a traditional pancake, but the coloring and taste are amazing! Will make this many more times.

Key Lime Cake III

This recipe is a great summer treat. I make it in a 9x13 pan to save time and for easy transportation. I also use fresh key limes for the lime juice and use my microplane to garnish the top of the cake. Pretty and refreshing too!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Awesome! I used a 7 lb. Boston butt as a reviewer mentioned. Put in crock pot along with broth. Cooked on low over night. Shredded the next morning, and left in crock pot on low with a little broth while at church. Added two bottles Sticky Fingers sauce and popped in oven for 30 minutes. Made fabulous sandwiches! This is a keeper!

Peach Praline Muffins

These are delicious. I made them per the recipe. They are not overly sweet, which I enjoy. The topping is just perfect, it is truly the 'praline' of the recipe. I doubled the recipe and used fresh peaches. I froze half and they freeze and thaw beautifully with no flavor sacrificed. A definate keeper!

Spiral Pasta Salad

Very good and easy too! I added sliced black olives to mine. Used the tri-color spiral pasta. Best served the next day after all the flavors have had time to mingle. Yummy!

Sweet Potato Casserole I

This is a great recipe! The family loved it. I made a few changes. I doubled the recipe and put in a 9x13 baking stone dish. I did NOT double the white sugar, but only used 1 cup. I did not double the butter either, and it still tasted wonderful! I assembled it the night before, wrapped in foil and popped in fridge. Next day, just popped in oven and baked for 40 minutes. Delish! It can also be assembled and frozen.

Chocolate Butter-Creme Frosting

What? I doubled the recipe to frost 2 dzn cuppycakes. I followed the first step exactly with correct ingredients and it was not "light and fluffy" more stiff and doughy. I added the milk hoping it would help and it was just grainy. I ended up adding more butter and heavy whipping cream along with cocoa powder and it turned out great then. I would not make this recipe again.

Holy YUM! Even my three non-ground-beef eating picky kids LOVED this and beg beg beg for it every day! I've made it three times in two weeks. I cut the sugar to 1.5 teaspoons and they don't miss it. Thanks, Tamara! Ths one is a winner!

Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

First time pumpkin seed roaster here! Very easy recipe. Don't make it too complicated! Just rinsed the seeds, patted dry with a microfiber dishcloth and put in my Pampered Chef Bar Pan, so no turning required. Delicious treat!
