Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
First time pumpkin seed roaster here! Very easy recipe. Don't make it too complicated! Just rinsed the seeds, patted dry with a microfiber dishcloth and put in my Pampered Chef Bar Pan, so no turning required. Delicious treat!

Candy Corn Bark

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
This recipe is good, however I had to make a couple changes, so only rate it 4 as is. Do not chop the oreos, as it gives a grayish color to the treat. Instead, break by hand. I used purple sprinkles and it looks really cute. Also, used 2 lbs. white almond bark. I microwaved it and stirred every 15 seconds so it does not burn. It was much easier than the double boiler method, which is not the best way to melt white chocolate. Kids enjoyed helping and everyone loved it. Majorly sweet, so it feeds a crowd!

Pumpkin Gingerbread

Very tasty. Cut the sugar by 1/2 cup. Subbed Pampered Chef Cinnamon Plus for all the spices. Better the next day! Freezes well too.

Fresh Pear Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
This was delicious! My 4 year old helped and she likes it also. I cut the recipe in half and used just one egg. Our pears were pretty ripe, so they were perfect for this bread. A great fall treat!

Good basic recipe. I used Wickles relish and it gave it a nice kick.

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
These are absolutely delish! This becomes a pricey appetizer after purchasing all the ingredients, but it is worth it. We actually had this as a meal and had lots leftover. Would be great for a taligate too! I subbed turkey breast for the ground beef and it tasted amazing. This one is a keeper!

Cucumber Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
Needed a recipe since a friend gave me lots of fresh tomatoes & cukes. This is just 'okay.' Very watered down dressing. I even used 3/4 c. water as suggested by other reviewers. Next time, I will try using White Wine Vinegar rather than cider and cut way back on the water. I will also try subbing red onion for the green onions.

Donut Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
These were delicious and easy enough for the kiddos to help. I'm rating this 4 stars only because you will need more than 1/4 c. margarine/butter to dip the baked muffins. I had to melt 3 more Tbs. On those last 3 Tbs, I subbed Smart Balance and it worked just as well, so next time I will sub that for the butter completely. Great little breakfast treat!

Meatball Nirvana

Pretty good. Served w/ pasta & marinara. They have some heat, so of course my kids did not enjoy them. Next time I will leave out the red pepper flakes and add a touch of soy and brown sugar.

Spicy Corn Dip

This was very good & easy. Didn't have chiles, so I left those out. Subbed chives and a little onion powder for the green onions. The directions do not say to do so, but I drained the corn.

I made this using strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries. It was decent. It was easy, but something seems to be missing. I have tasted much better.

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
I'll stick to my other recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and the batter was way too thick. I had to add whole milk to thin it for pouring. They did not have a great flavor either. They were missing something.

This was a pretty good sauce, although my steak tips were tough. Next time I will add more garlic and less wine. The kids loved this too.

Taco Seasoning I

Great and easy! I will make a big batch of this to keep on hand. 3 Tbs to 1 lb. ground beef is a good start. More if you like it spicier.
