About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom who loves to cook for my family and freinds!
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook have to be baked goods. I just adore baking pies, cakes, cookies, and breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's fried chicken, Family BBQ's, and Holiday Dinners.
My cooking triumphs
I most adore to cook for parties and guests, because I always get lots of praise and wonderful feedback. It is all worth it when you hear people tell you how delicious your food is!
My cooking tragedies
There has been a time or two when I decided to get creative on my own and it didn't turn out too well. But I don't mind the couple of times I have screwed up because the majority of the time it turns out to be something delicious that i've created all on my own!

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding
These are the WORST yorkshire puddings i've ever tasted. I have made delicious yorkshire pudding faithfully every time I make roast beef or prime rib, and now it's Christmas Day, and the Yorkshire pudding I am renowned for that my family loves is ruined. I couldn't find my old recipe since the site was changed. These came out hard and crunchy and it tastes like overcooked refrigerated dough biscuits, and I baked them for only about half the time it called for. I like my yorkshire pudding soft, savory, hollow in the middle with a slight crisp on the outside and spongy enough inside to soak up my roast beef drippings off my plate. If you do also, steer clear of this recipe!

Cornbread Casserole
After going to a Thanksgiving potluck at our church, I tasted this. After going back to get seconds and being dissapointed to find it all gone, I was determined to ferret out the recipe! This is it. The only thing I did different was to add 8 oz sour cream and two eggs like the others said. It is so good and so unbelievably easy. This one will find its way onto my Thanksgiving table next year for sure!

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie
This is by far the best apple pie i've ever had. Just an afterthought, the finished product looks nothing like that picture submitted for this recipe. It has a delicious, golden brown lattice crust glistening with brown sugar and butter. Yum, it's so good! There is however, one HUGE problem with this recipe. The submitter forgot to add a very neccesary ingredient, cinnamon! I just add it to taste in a large bowl with the sliced, peeled apples and mix to incorporate before adding to the crust.
