Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

I would have rated this 5 stars, but I made some changes. First I ground the oats before adding them and I also ground about a tbsp or so of flax seeds and threw those in there. I don't know if my fruit wasn't sweet enough on its own, or if I just prefer a sweeter taste, but I had to add more sweetener. This turned out great and I will be making it many more times!

Whole Wheat Oatmeal Bread

Very good recipe. I didn't use a bread machine, though.I made it with my stand mixer and baked it in the oven at 375 for 25 minutes. My family loved it. I will definitely be making it again.

Emily's Famous Banana Oat Muffins

I liked these muffins. I followed the suggestion of other reviewers and only used 1 1/2 cups wheat flour and used applesauce in the place of the oil, and I subbed splenda for half of the brown sugar. I think next time I will increase the cinnamon and add some nuts. I also only baked them for 20 mins and they turned out very moist.

Po' Boy Pie

This is almost the same recipe my grandmother always used, except she did not add the vanilla or spices. They add a very nice touch to a classic dessert. I also use peaches in heavy syrup and do not drain them. So easy to throw together. I have also substituted two cans of mixed fruit in the place of the peaches and that is awesome as well.

I did not follow the recipe as written, but used it as a guide along with the reviews to suit my family's taste. I cut back on the noodles, added 1 cup of chicken broth, italian seasoning, salt and pepper. I also used a can of diced tomatoes that were not stewed. I did not layer the ingredients, instead I just combined them all before pouring into the baking dish. I cooked it 30 minutes covered with foil, then uncovered and topped it with about 1/2 cup cheese and returned to the oven until melted. It turned out great. I think next time I will also add a can of diced tomatoes with green chilis to kick it up a bit. I only gave it 3 stars because I changed so much. It seemed that it would turn out bland and a little too dry as written.

I've made these before as written and they were good. I've since made some changes. I use half white wheat for the flour, splenda for the white sugar, I add cinnamon and vanilla, and even walnuts if I have them. Very good!

Taco Seasoning I

This is the best taco seasoning by far. I will never by store bought mixes ever again. This has a much better flavor and not to mention no additives or preservatives. My entire family agrees this recipe is a keeper, no need to look any farther. I generally double this recipe when making two pounds of ground beef and add about a fourth to a half cup of water.

Pumpkin Protein Cookies

I'm giving this 3 stars because my 5 year old actually liked these. I did not like them at all. They had absolutely no flavor. I don't know if I did something wrong or they are supposed to be that way, but I won't make them again.

Health Nut Blueberry Muffins

My family wasn't crazy about these, but I loved them. I didn't have bananas on hand so I used applesauce and it worked fine. I took some to work with me the next day (to people who like healthy food) and they were gone in no time with plenty of compliments. I will make them again.

These were very good. I made some changes, but still felt it deserved 5 stars because it is easily adaptable to your own tastes. I used applesauce instead of banana because that's what I had on hand, and I used Splenda. I'll probably add some brown sugar or molasses next time. But will surely be making again.
