Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Im rating this recipe "as is". It is okay. Its bland. Simple and comforting, but bland. You MUST make modifications for this to be tasty. I could tell by the recipe I needed to add many seasonings, and I did. Take peoples recommendations... bay leaf, S&P, veggies and so on...
Also, this is a dumpling. It is supposed to be dough-ey. I had my grands buttermilk biscuit quarters in there for about 45 minutes on high and they came out perfect. Personally, Im not a huge fan of the dumplings, but I cant hold that agaist the recipe bc it is chicken n dumplings afterall. I would prefer this to be served over an oven cooked biscuit, but that would make it a totally different dish.
