Pork Chop Pileups

It was edible. I used med-sized chops, but they still came out dry. Next time I will try this using Cream of Celery. Flavors didn't meld together.

Hash Brown and Pork Chop Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
Go easy on the cheese. Husband loved it, the hash brown mix was super creamy, almost too greasy, and not very appetizing to me. The flavor was good, but next time I will cut back on the soup and cheese.

Big Ed's Cajun Shrimp Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
Excellent!! I added diced celery for some texture, seasoned with Old Bay, and added some clams. It is better to add cooked rice before serving, otherwise you end up with rice porridge. I also added some cilantro before serving, and it was perfect!!

Linguine with White Clam Sauce I

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2006
Love this recipe, because it doesn't really call for anything I won't normally find in the pantry. I do add a can of whole baby clams as well as the minced clams, and I season with OLD BAY seasoning and minced onion. If I'm having company, I will increase the sauce with more clam juice, and add some tiger prawns and clams in the half shell. With some chopped parsley around the plate, it makes a nice presentation. Also great with a squirt of lemon juice before serving.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2006
Delicious!! I make this recipe twice a month. Following other reviews, I use cornstarch instead of flour. I heat the cream (fat free) over low heat, while the vegetables are simmering. I mix 3/4 cornstarch in with 1/4 cup milk, then add that to the cream. I don't use the red wine vinegar, b/c I don't think it needs it. I also add Old Bay seasoning, garlic and onion powder, and I use dried minced onion instead of fresh. LOVE THIS RECIPE!!
