Green Onion Cakes
Excellent recipe. A few notes... * You will need 2 bunches of green onions unless yours are very large * No need to let the dough rest. really, trust me. * For more flavour, use sesame oil both in cooking and in the dough, or half and half with vegetable oil. * LESS IS MORE WHEN IT COMES TO OIL! Add 2 or 3 drops to the pan before each batch of cakes you fry, not all at once in the beginning. We're not deep frying them, after all. * Use sea salt. * Roll the dough out long, roll like a cigar, coil like a snake, then roll flat. Thinner is better. * Eat them hot. (drools) * Thank you so much for this recipe!

Smoked Carrot Bisque
I didn't have a smoker, so I added 1 1/2 tsp of liquid smoke when cooking the carrots and onions. I was missing some ingredients so I used 1tsp smoked chipotle Tabasco sauce and 1/2tsp red pepper flakes instead of jalapeƱo peppers and instead of the celery I added more onion and some celery salt. To lower the cholesterol, I used margarine and omitted the cream. It still turned out creamy even though it was 100% vegan! I would love to taste it with carrots from a smoker! The flavors are quite good.

American Girl's Peach Cobbler
Really delicious. I used 2 cans fruit salad (took out the grapes and cherries)and a can of pineapple chunks(42oz in all)because I didn't have peaches. I mixed the fruit with 1tbsp vanilla, 2tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp cloves and 1/4c brown sugar after reading it was bland and spooned it over the dough. I loved the way the dough crisped with the margarine. It was heavenly!
