Strawberry Cobbler I

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
This was not to our liking. It was way too runny and the topping was crunchy on top and doughy on the bottom. I think if I made this again, I would use twice as much cornstarch to thicken, alot more sugar in dough, and cook on lower temp for 30 min. Sorry, I just had expected alot more!

Best Ever Cinnamon Pull Aparts

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This wasnt my favorite at all. It was alright. I prefer the gooey pull aparts, and this was more of a hard carmelized coating. I think I will stick to the same one Ive been using. Sorry

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
No big deal. I have had much better. The dough is great, really easy to work with. They were very soft, which is great, but they were bland. They needed more flavor, more sweetness or something.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
Fabulous!! I changed a little (reason for 4 star rating) I decided to season my roast with garlic salt and peppper, dredge in flour and brown. I added 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 can cream of celery, 1 pkg golden onion soup mix, & 1/2 cup of water to the crockpot and stirred. I then quartered red potatoes, chunked carrots, and quartered red onions, added to pot. Lastly I topped with roast and cooked on high for 5 hours. It came out excellent. The gravy was soooo good. I had leftover gravy and am going to use it for mashed potatoes. The meat was very tender and flovorful, it fell right apart. The whole family loved it.

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
This was an excellent recipe. The only reason it got 4 stars is because I changed the directions a little, used homemade enchilada sauce (what a difference) and added a cup of cheese. I made this dish on a Friday night so opted for a rotisserie chicken and cubed it, mixed in the chiles, cilantro, black beans, and sour creme. I used the Enchilada sauce off the website with the cinnamon and chocolate (excellent) Poured about 1/2 cup into dish, layed two corn tortillas down and topped with chicken mixture, cheese, and more sauce. Repeated layers one more time and then topped with another layer of corn tortillas, sauce and cheese. Covered in foil and baked for 30 mins. Let rest 10 mins. I served with spanish rice and a green salad. Everyone loved it!!!
