The World's Cutest Dog
About this Cook
Married to the world's pickiest eater! But he loves many of the recipes I've found here!
My favorite things to cook
Thanksgiving turkey (Turkey Michigander Way from this site is the BEST), baking almost anything!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year in early December, my cousins, Aunt and I would get together for a full day of Christmas cookie baking. We'd bake dozens and dozens of our favorite cookies, order out lunch, listen to Christmas music and have a blast!
My cooking triumphs
My first Thanksgiving turkey - I was nervous, cooking my first Thanksgiving feast myself but the turkey came out perfectly (I used the Turkey the Michigander Way recipe ont his site) and everything else did too! Now I fear no meal!
My cooking tragedies
Baking sugar cookies last year for Christmas. I followed the recipe to the letter, made a wonderful sugar cut out cookie dough, cut cute little shapes, put the cookies in the oven and watched them melt into one gigantic sugar blob! Oddly enough it tasted yummy but looked awful!

World's Best Lasagna
The best lasagna AND sauce I have ever had! I made a double batch of the sauce to have some to freeze and plenty for the lasagna. This was hands down the most delicious lasagna ever. Making my own sauce using this recipe is the only way I will ever go again!

German Potato Pancakes
They tasted delicious and crisped up nicely in the pan. However, they were basically hash browns! Didn't hold their pancake shape at all. As soon as I moved them to turn, they fell apart and basically became a pan of hash browns. Happened with every batch I fried. But again, 4 stars for the taste and texture because they were yummy and I didn't have any leftovers so it's still a winner!

Vicki's Hush Puppies
These are great - remind me of my grandma's with one little change. I add a little milk so they're not so dry, and omit the sugar entirely. Because when they're fried up and ready to serve, I sift a bit of powdered sugar over them and it's just the slightest hint of sweetness that just puts them over the top!
