Banana Bread IV

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2005
I made 12 muffins and a loaf instead of 2 loaves. They tasted really good. My loaf rose beautifully but the muffins didn't rise really. They were pretty much flat, I'm not sure why. But they tasted great and didn't look bad really. They received many compliments from everyone who ate them, they were for a business meeting breakfast.

Sweet and Sassy Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2007
I didn't find it overly spicy but I like foods really spicy. This was really good though. I cut the red wine vinegar to 1 Tbsp. and cooked the onion and garlic in a small saute pan then added the rest of the sauce and let it sit on the burner that was still warm but off. We had it with pork chops and I put about 1/2 tsp. dijon mustard on the chops with about a tsp of sauce then baked them. I then poured the sauce over the cooked chops. We had it with horseradish mashed potatoes(potatoes, sour cream, horseradish, kosher salt, fresh ground pepper). The sauce was delicious mixed with the potatoes also.

Veggie Lo Mein

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2007
We omitted the oyster sauce and bamboo shoots and added water chestnuts. We loved this though. We served it over udon noodles which made a great crunchy vegetable and al dente noodle combination.

Cheddar Dill Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
These were light, fluffy and delicious. We couldn't taste the dill at all and only a little of the cheddar but they still deserve 5 stars. I would just recommend adding a little more dill and cheddar.

Healthier Hot Legs

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
It is super spicy hot so you have to love hot foods, but its really good though. I did use regular sugar though and cooked boneless chicken tenders instead and put it on "Quick Chinese-Style Vermicelli" which is on this website as well and has some reviews as being bland but really good. It's not bland with this chicken on top.

Almond Crescent Buns

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2005
This was a really easy recipe. They leave a bit to be desired when they first come out of the oven. I actually melted a little more butter with brown sugar and brushed it on the tops then sprinkled almonds on the top then drizzled with confectioners' glaze. Everyone in the house loved them and wanted to eat them all right then.

Quick Chinese-Style Vermicelli (Rice Noodles)

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
I've tried this recipe before and agree it has little flavor. I made this recipe and put "healthier hot legs" on top of the noodles. It was really good but I do recommend not adding as much hot sauce as the recipes calls for because it's super hot. This is a great versatile recipe.

Tanya's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
I didn't sift the dry ingredients and I didn't let it chill at all. I also added a little extra cinnamon and sugar to the mixture I rolled the dough in. They came out soft and chewy a bit which is exactly what I was hoping for. After I put the dough on the cookie sheet I pressed it down a bit. They were delicious.

Skillet Green Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
My husband and I made these with Chicken Paprikash from a Weight Watchers cookbook. They tasted really good, we would have them again. We weren't sure about the sour cream but it was really creamy and a nice addition.

Strawberry-Banana-Peanut Butter Smoothie

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
I liked it and would make it again but I would only put in 1 T peanut butter probably because the peanut butter flavor overwhelmed it. I love peanut butter but in this I think I would prefer a banana or strawberry flavor coming out. I couldn't taste the strawberries at all so I maybe would add a few more of those also. It's definitely worth trying though.
