About this Cook
I am a massage therapist. I was in the Army for 4 years. Until I was married, I could only burn water. Now I can boil, bake, fry, dice and follow directions on any recipe. I still don't consider myself a cook because my time management sucks (triple or more the noted prep time).
My favorite things to cook
Turkey Chili (this was my first and -so far- only self made recipe), Gourmet 4 cheese mac and cheese, grilled cheese/quesadilla, home-made cocoa, spaghetti.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Salmon (any recipe), New Year's Cocao.
My cooking triumphs
Home made turkey chili.
My cooking tragedies
Burning water - almost literally. I let a pan of water boil out completely and charred the inside black. Also - preparing a pot with vegetable oil for home made kettle corn and leaving the burner too hot - set the oil on fire, at least I had the correct lid for the pot handy and put it out. Flames leapt up into the overhead exhaust, could have caught the grease residue in the filter on fire.
