Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, SABRINATEE. It's found a place in my easy but delicious comfort food repertoire. Everyone in my family loves it. Adding frozen peas works well and adds a nice touch too.

Lamb Stew with Green Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
I used Greek seasoning as suggested by another reviewer, garlic flakes, more cinnamon, and I pureed a can of Italian style stewed tomatoes in place of the tomato sauce. And I served it over white rice. The dish was amazingly good. My husband absolutely loved it.

Judging from the fact that when I got to the dish at pot luck, it was empty, I think this must have been a pretty good recipe. I'm glad I tasted it before I took it. It was great! Thanks.

Rosemary Mashed Potatoes and Yams with Garlic and Parmesan

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2007
Thank you for this recipe. My husband and I loved it. I did not have time to bake it, so I just served eliminated that step. To suit my taste, I added a pinch of allspice and nutmeg and topped the mound of potatoes with a sprinkle of brown sugar. Exquisite with lamb and asparagus and a nice red wine.

Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2007
I think this is my new favorite breakfast casserole, and a house full of guests this morning seemed to agree. Taking tips from previous reviewers, I used 8 eggs instead of six, used frozen hash browns, baked them first and browned onion with the sausage, adding salt and pepper to the egg mixture. Using what I had on hand, I used a combo of shredded Cheddar, Monterrey Jack and Mozzarella. I served this with chopped green onions and salsa, fruit and muffins. Yummy. Thanks!

Orange Rice

What a great and easy recipe. I used the liquid from the mandarin oranges to make up some of the liquid. And I added a little dried parsley for color before serving. Very nice dish. Thanks. I served it with Rosemary Chicken with Orange Maple Glaze from this site.

Rosemary Chicken with Orange-Maple Glaze

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
This was a really nice recipe. After browning, I finished the chicken in the slow cooker, and it turned out just great. I wanted a little more flavor, so I added soy sauce and some seasonings to suit our taste. And I thickened the sauce with cornstarch at the end. Thanks for a great recipe that our family and guests really enjoyed.
