Coconut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Tasted great! First I used a micowave safe plastic dish which the bottom melted right off, that was a bit of a mess in my microwave. Then I used a glass dish and everything was great!

Family enjoyed, house smelled great while it was cooking. You can be different every time by playing with different barb. sauce and drsg. Chicken was really tender-served over white rice.

No Roll Pie Crust I

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2006
I just used this for apple dumplings and it worked great! I doubled the recipe, formed 6 balls, flattened on counter, and formed around apples. I think my usual dough would have been hard to work with. I'll be using this again-Thanks!!!

Caramel Shortbread Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2006
Excellent!!!! I only messed with the chocolate topping. I did not use milk chocolate chips-I used two cups semi-sweet chips with one can sweetened condensed milk that you microwave for one minute, mix well, pour over and let set. I got rave reviews and numerous request for thr recipe. Many felt it tasted like a twix bar. I forgot to say I doubled the recipe to make a 9x13 pan, so my chocolate topping is for the 9x13 size pan.

Made for a bakesale and they sold right away! Made in large muffin tin, trimmed pineapple to fit and put cherry in ring before baking. Waited 5 minutes before inverting to remove from pan per previous reviews is a must. I trialed it and it really makes a difference. Thanks for recipe!

My family loved it!! My four year old had three helpings. I doubled recipe and used 9x13 glass baking dish greased. Added a packet of taco seasoning along with chilli seasoning. Prebaked bottom for 6 minutes and I also put cheese on top for last 15 minutes. Bread was not soggy the first day or on the next when I reheated.

This was good tasting and easy. I have to admit I used the store brand sausage-cost me half as much as the Bob Evans.

Easy to make and rich and creamy. I added about a teaspoon of salt per other reviewers to cut down on sweetness. Thanks for great recipe!
