Love these. I add lots of seeds at the end. I use sesame, chia, and flax seeds. Be warned: they are addictive.

This is a huge favorite in our family. You can add cooked and shredded chicken to make it an entire luncheon meal.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Love these for the flavor and the fact that I always have all the ingredients on hand. This makes a sweet and saucy home for ground beef or turkey or buffalo. I used buffalo and we gobbled them up.

Chicken Crunch

Thought this might be bland, but actually was very tasty. I added sliced green onions and celery to give a little crunch. Would add peas and carrots if I had them. My husband said to put it in the rotation.

Eat Michigan Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
Perfect fall salad. Makes lots more dressing than you need for the salad. I left out the teaspoon of sugar and it was still plenty sweet. Go Michigan State-beat Ohio State and Michigan! Made this as a salad in a mason jar for a friend recovering from surgery. Put the dressing in the bottom, then added the apples, cherries, pecans and goat cheese. Filled to the top with romaine lettuce. Screw on the lid. It kept very well in the fridge for about 5 days. I did put lemon juice over the apples before putting them in the jar. When you are ready to eat it just shake it up and eat out of the jar or pour onto a plate.

Tart Lemon Sorbet

We love this. I steep a few stems of mint in with the sugar and water. Remove them when you cool the sugar water. I use my ice cream maker and it comes out perfectly. The zest really adds to the flavor. This is now on my list of favorite recipes.

I'd be in big trouble with the family if I didn't make a batch or two of these for our 4th of July reunion each year. Liked by everyone!

Marinated Flank Steak

Add another to your long list of kudos. We made a flank steak yesterday that was amazing. I doubled the recipe exactly as written. Now it is one I will turn to many times for summer grilling.

Pumpkin Soup

Very impressed with the excellent flavor. I would not have thought to use thyme but it adds a great note to the soup. Once you get past peeling the pumpkin, not my favorite kitchen task, it is easy-peasee to make. Thanks for a wonderful recipe.

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
I always chuckle when folks totally change a recipe and then say they loved it, but I am going to do it now. I read a review that said to add sun-dried tomatoes, so I did. Then I saw a pint of cherry tomatoes sitting in the fridge and decided to throw those in. First, I cooked the cherry tomatoes separately with some oregano. Once they had popped I mashed them and added them to the chicken. Finally, I added the cream, actually fat free half-n-half, and the parmesan cheese. We loved it. Very tasty. My husband told me to take the serving dish of pasta off the table before he ate it all!

Bacon Wrapped Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
Quickly eaten by all my guests. We like the name "pig candy" suggested by another reviewer. Very appropriate. I would put the brown sugar between the bacon and the frank. Also, put these on a cooling rack over a foil wrapped pan. Saves trying to turn them when they are so hot.

Couldn't believe something so simple could be so tasty. Next time I will try putting a cooling rack in my pan so the bottom of the chop is as crispy as the top. I will definitely make this again.

Ultimate Party Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
Have made these twice now and both times they were a big hit. I did add some jalapeno pepper jelly to the first batch. The second batch I was out of the jelly so I just added some red pepper flakes. I only got one little meatball when I wasn't fast enough to go back for more. The pot was almost licked clean. Very simple to make and keep warm in the crockpot.
