Asian Glazed Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
I used boneless, skinless thighs and made 16 thighs using the same amount of sauce- I just boiled the marinade that the chicken was in and used it as well (instead of discarding it). This really is a delicious dish. Also served w/ rice and mixed veggies. My 2 year old daughter devoured it (go figure!) and my husband loved it. Will make again!

Fish Fillets Italiano

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2013
Unbelievable flavor and such an EASY weeknight meal! I used chicken stock (Knorr's) dissolved in 1/2 cup of boiling water in place of the wine- and maybe this is why it was sooo flavorful? It was not bland at all, as other reviewers have mentioned. I also added a can of mushrooms and used the Italian diced tomatoes as others have suggested, plus 2 tsp Italian seasoning and a pinch of black pepper. SUPERB dinner!!! Served over rice. Even my 1 1/2 year old daughter ate every single bit I gave her- fish, black olives and all! This was delicious!

Salad Nicoise

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2012
Followed directions to the "T" and also used the "Lemon Vinaigrette salad" dressing from this website. Absolutely delicious! A perfect summer salad. Extra bonus: my husband told me this is THE BEST salad he's ever had in his life! He wants to have it again this week!

Orange Pecan French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
I made this for Easter brunch this Sunday and it stole the show!!!! Everyone- from my sister, to my husband, to my parents, to my in-laws- said it was one of the best french toasts they'd ever had. The brown sugar pecan topping is perfect! I followed one reviewer's recommendation to use frozen loaves of french bread- Pepperidge Farm or your local grocery store brand- so that the pieces didn't get too soggy. Worked out PERFECTLY. Soooo impressive. I would give it "10 stars" if I could! Love, love, love.

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
FIVE stars alll the way! Delicious JUST as written!! (Actually, I'm just rating the salad part b/c I had store-bought garlic croutons that I have to use up). I will ALWAYS make caesar salad like this from now on!

Spicy Garlic Salmon

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2009
WOW- I was totally surprised by how delicious this dish was!! After tasting the sauce, I literally almost threw it away- it tasted soooo strange to me. But, my husband convinced me to give it a try.. and thank goodness! It's actually much more subtle of a flavor than I expected (I think b/c our salmon filets were a little thicker) but DELICIOUS!! We served our salmon over the "Caesar Salad Supreme" recipe from this site for the BEST Salmon Caesar Salad I've ever had!! Thanks! Ohh, and we grilled our salmon, instead of baking it, basting it on both sides with the paste while it cooked.... yuuummmy!

Quick Pumpkin Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
Absolutely HEAVENLY!!! I love, love, love pumpkin pie and THIS IS EVEN BETTER! I sincerely do not understand how anybody could give this less than 5**'s, especially if you love pumpkin pie. It has fewer calories and less fat, too (I made it with fatfree evaporated milk and fatfree whipped cream on top-- and it was still extremely flavorfull and rewarding!) I only used 1/2 tbspn of the pumpkin pie spice, as others suggested. This is PERFECTION.

Asparagus and Cashews

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2008
Fantastic!!! I didn't have cashews, so I used slivered almonds instead. This was a great side dish for our alaskan halibut dinner, along with wasabi mashed potatoes. THANKS!

Mom's Lasagna

Reviewed: May 22, 2008
TEN STARS!!!!!!! Absolutely fabulous and super easy lasagna! The sauce and the cheese are what make this recipe so special (I've never put parmasian cheese in the layers of the lasagna itself). I did make two major substitutions, however: 1= ricotta cheese (mixed in with 1 egg, + basil, + chopped parsley, + some grated parm cheese) instead of the cottage cheese, and 2= italian sausage instead of the beef (I used 2lbs, b/c I actually doubled the sauce). My husband just got a new job and this was a celebration meal-- and it seriously was better than any lasagna we've ever had at a restaurant!! Thank you!

Seafood Lasagna II

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
I made this for my husband's birthday and he LOVED it! I used only shrimp and crab, but think I'll add the scallops next time. I also added 1 jar of Four Cheese Marinara sauce to make it a "pink sauce" lasagna. I, in fact, will probably add more red-sauce next time. All in all, a success! (an expensive one albeit, but this is definitely meant to be a special occasion dish).

Lisa's Best Baked Clams

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
Very easy and quite the impressive treat coming out of the oven! Served as appetizers for my husband's birthday dinner- he LOVED them and was quite impressed. Think it may have been better with fresh parsley and only 2 tablespoons of garlic-- will try with these changes next time.

Strawberries in Spiced Syrup

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2008
This was sooooo AWESOME. Made it for my husband's birthday (he insisted on having NO cake... but said this was better than anything he could've asked for!). Served over vanilla bean ice cream and strawberries, as mentioned by previous reviewer. LOVED IT!!! Can't wait to make it again!!

Muenster Chicken and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
Really fantastic!- especially when you dip the salted and peppered chicken into egg --> then flour --> then egg again--> then breadcrumbs. Poured sauteed onions and mushrooms over the chicken, then added the muenster cheese. GREAT, moist, and super tasty chicken dish! My husband and I loved it. Thanks!

Hot Curried Tuna Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2008
My husband gives it 5* and I gave it 3*... so, I decided to take the average. :) I definitely liked the curry addition, but I ended up having to add more seasoning (garlic salt and extra curry) to really make it taste like much. Served open-faced on whole wheat bread w/ muenster cheese and tomato slices on top + sprinkle of paprika over it. Hubby said is was "great grub". Will likely make again.

Salmon Patties I

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2008
After heeding multiple reviewer's suggestions, this was an all star dish! I added 2 eggs instead of 1, added green onions, crushed garlic, black pepper, some old bay seasoning, a squeeze of lemon, and a few dashes of Tabasco. They were delicious!! I also followed a previous recommendation to serve with dipping sauce of sour cream, dill, and lemon. Absolutely fantastic dinner! My husband is still raving, hours later. :-)
